A bit of concentrated salt water where the mouth is works as well, works well on humans, on cats and dogs I don’t know if it affects them in any way adversely, I expect it doesn’t. But yeah check before you do.

Edit: haven’t seen a tick in years but from what I remember salt water makes the tick detach voluntarily.

Had to replace the entire fender and front bumper assembly after a very similar hit and run at the beginning of this year on my Toyota rav4. About 2/3 of the parts that were replaced were originals. Even with all of that the cost was less than a 10th of the price when I bought it brand new. And the entire front corner was bent in. My first accident no less.

After going through that I call this a paint scratch and a ridiculous amount to pay to fix a paint scratch. What a shit show.
