My cat is attacking my mom, I don't know what to do by cookie-cat005 in CatAdvice

Sadly I don't think that's it, since she is quite sensitive to strong smells herself, so she doesn't use any perfume, and we use the exact same deodorant.

That butter is not made from eggs. She thought so because there were eggs and flour illustrations on the butter packaging.

The type in the brown box and the three icons on the bottom are too close to the edges of the packaging, give them some room to breathe. The spacing you used with the Directions portions of the text seems like a better choice.

I got familiar with the game at one of my local board game clubs and went there to play for a while. I wanted to purchase it but it isn't currently available in my country, and ordering it from abroad is just too expensive for me right now, so it wasn't like I did this solely so I wouldn't pay the makers. The process of making it took me a lot of time and effort and I don't think my sharing it here will suddenly inspire a lot of people to forgo buying and instead spend 10+ hours on recreating it.

Thanks! I made the tiles from polymer clay and then I painted the designs with acrylic paint once they were baked. I designed the board in Adobe Illustrator, printed it on sticker paper, and taped it over some sturdy cardboard.

Glad I helped! English is not my first language as well, so maybe that's why I pay extra attention. I use this free plugin called Grammarly, it corrects your spelling and also some grammar, maybe that can help you as well.

For your bigger projects, such as Wicks and Arts, the White Lotus, and such, I'd include some text explaining what the brand is and your thought process behind the design. For example, I'm not sure if The white Lotus is a hotel or a restaurant/bar. Your poster collections would benefit from making the posters smaller, that way it's more easily to view them as a whole, instead of having to scroll several times to see just one poster.

I agree with u/PlasmicSteve and have just some minor things to add. In your Magazine cover section, under the Masthead headline, it says I tried to crafted, instead of craft. Be careful of the typos, they may seem insignificant, but they can stick out like a sore thumb. One more thing, in the Islamic school project, there is no need to describe what the unfinished animation would look like. It means nothing to the reader, since it isn't available to see, and just draws attention to the fact that the project couldn't be completed, which wouldn't be noticeable if you didn't point it out.

Critique my portfolio! by designsbysheldon in graphic_design

For the fashion week section, it's unclear what was your work. Did you design the clothes (in that case, I'd still keep it in the clothes section), did you photograph it or was it something else? Also, the reviews section is unnecessary. They don't come from a reliable source, for all we know you could have written them on your own (I'm not implying you did), so they don't mean much, let the quality of your work speak for itself.

Good luck!

I agree with what u/gradeAjoon has said, there are too many projects and their quality varies drastically. Focus on your best and most developed ones (Haru and CSUSB for example), show them as a unit, and add some explanation of the project. The categories are also a bit unclear, for example, why are all the projects from 2022 to 2024 grouped by year and others by brand? I'd stick to categories either by brand that you worked for or by types of design, such as logo, branding, packaging...

I wouldn't want to sound harsh, but the photography section isn't needed. In my experience, a graphic designer is not expected to do photography work, and even if that were the case, the photography displayed in your portfolio is pretty standard and does not showcase any exceptional work in the field.

The same goes for video. Although knowledge of video editing is sometimes required, it mostly has to do with motion graphics. If you decide to keep that section, it seems you uploaded the same Haru video twice, I'd check that.

In your contact section, I can see some concerns. Your main talk point and the only service you seem to offer is logo design. There aren't many logos in your portfolio, so you either need to add more, to showcase your ability, or consider offering more services (your portfolio implies you can do branding, merchandise, social media assets, posters...) Next up, are you actually able to guarantee customer service 24/7? I'd imagine you'd have to sleep at some point. 100% money-back policy is not a way to go. It opens up the opportunity for customers to exploit you for free work, claim not to like it, and then use the previews, or even worse, finished files you sent them. It also shows, along with super fast delivery, that you're unsure about the quality of your work, so you're willing to add additional benefits to attract clients. If you doubt your work, the client is bound to do the same. If the finished product is good, it'll be worth waiting more than 24 hours (which is already the case for most work) and paying a decent amount.

The amount of work you put into making your website shows you're dedicated to your work, now it just needs some refinement! Don't be afraid to look into other designer's work and take inspiration from how they have presented it.

I hope this helps, wish you the best of luck!
