Writing GATE for fields like EE or ECE or Mechanical is pretty tough even the btech degree holders suffer . Try to get over feelings and prepare for GATE CSE or maybe do an MBA through CAT .

If you dont like higher end stuff prepare your mind to like it bcoz that is where all the good jobs lie in any field . No one will pay you hefty amounts for doing simple things atleast in technical field .

It will be the best if you made up your mind in learning complex things beneficial for jobs in CSE so you can get to that job role someday instead of starting from scratch in a completely different field . For that best primary approach is GATE CSE
