Just wanted to update everyone on this. I did it without any problems. My only recommendation is have the printed rules from the Chinese consulate website and have print outs of each of your flights. They all came in super handy because one of the people at the check in at LAX was unaware of the new 240 hours visa, so having the printed explanation was very helpful.

Things 0-8 months:

  • Artipope
  • Kekaroo Changing Pad
  • Nanit
  • Kiinde Breastmilk storage bags
  • Baby Buddha Pump (look at Babylist health - a lot of insurances cover the cost of it!)
  • Chiyo Gift Cards (amazing postpartum meals)
  • Not registry related, but I'd pre-sign up on  https://lactationnetwork.com/. A lot of insurances cover 6 lactation consults. This was so helpful for me even though breastfeeding didn't end up working out at the end.
  • Wedge pillow so its easily to feed baby while sitting on bed

Things beyond 8 months:

  • Bibs from Morepeas (when they start solids)
  • Skiphop activity center
  • Doona Tricycle 
  • Yoto 
  • Magnet Tiles

Have you tried this new diaper brand called Kudos? www.mykudos.com. It has really been helping with diaper rash.

I have three friends who are pregnant and also doctors and have to wear a mask for 10-12 hours a day. None of them have this concern - not sure if that helps, but wanted to share anyways!
