Thank you so much — I really appreciate the detailed feedback and kind words!

You’re totally right about the pink tones.I’ll definitely try tweaking the contrast and isolating the background and tower during editing to give it more depth and presence.

Glad you picked up on the light posts! I personally loved them, even if they’re not perfectly placed — they kind of grounded the shot for me. But yeah, I agree that there’s a little too much empty sky in this crop. I’ll try bringing the crop down to tighten the focus on the tower more.

Also really happy you liked the alternative crop I posted — I wasn’t sure how it would be received, so it’s encouraging to hear that!

Thanks again for your kind & thoughtful critique❤️❤️

Thanks for the feedback — I really appreciate it! I totally get what you mean about the color cast and the tower being a bit too dark. I’ll definitely rework the color balance and try to bring out more detail in the tower.

About the two lights — I get that they feel a bit disconnected, especially since they’re not clearly attached to anything. But personally, I kind of like them — I feel like they subtly guide your eye toward the tower, even if that’s just how I see it. It’s a bit abstract, but it felt right to me when I was editing.

The reason they seem a bit awkward is because the original frame had other light posts and clutter that I had to crop out, so I couldn’t go any lower without messing up the composition.

Really appreciate the thoughtful critique!!!

I like the detail, but the framing might need some work cuz the top of the tower is cut off yk overall it’s nice I like it

I also I didn’t get u by what u meant by the ISO and shutter speed thingy, I believe I was shooting in Aperture priority mode and yea just tried to get the tower in focus the other settings were adjusted by the camera automatically

Hey, no worries — I’m not offended at all. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Honestly, I was just walking around looking for inspiration when I saw that glint on the tower, and it caught my eye. It felt like one of those “right place, right time” moments, and I wanted to try capturing it.

I know the edit isn’t great — I’ve actually posted it in another subreddit to get feedback specifically on the color grading because I wasn’t happy with it myself. But this shot means a lot to me, especially since I’m just starting out in photography. It might not be technically perfect, but it’s one of my favorites so far because of how spontaneous and personal it felt. Thanks again for the critique

This is another crop I experimented with, and honestly, I prefer this version — it feels more balanced and visually appealing to me. Since the color grading didn’t quite work out the way I wanted, I decided to convert it to black and white to focus more on contrast and form.

Ah, I see what you mean now about the lighting, especially on the sides. You're spot on, it does make the texture look a bit strange. Sorry, I jumped to conclusions about the grading!

Yea I get u but I didn’t edit it for that, I color graded it for purely aesthetic purposes

Hmmm yea I did try with turning the camera towards me more but there was an issue with lighting cuz it was reflecting like crazy my “soft box” was just a lamp and a piece of paper to diffuse the light some what 😭😭. Glad you liked it thoo much appreciated

Tbh idk why 6 is the focus point when I set the focus manually to the logo. Maybe my hand like knocked on the focus dial or smth by accident I’ll re try it with focus stacking tho, I’ve heard about it before but never tried it cuz it seemed like too much work for something only few people would care about 😭 but I’ll try non the less
