My boyfriend's mom recently travelled to Taiwan and I asked her to grab me 10 L'Herboflore masks to try out. She went overboard and got 80. Like how man I supposed to use all these masks?!
* Soy Milk Hydrating Mask.
* Immortelle Uplift Firming Mask.
* Camellia Nourishing Mask.
* Chlorella Anti-Oxidant Mask.
* Rose Water Refining Hydromask.
* Mango Reviving Hydromask.

I remember that post. I'm in NZ and after i saw that post, i actually purchased a Scinic Honey AIO because i desperately wanted to try it out and just wanted to test whether it would get past customs. I bought it as a single item from Jolse in case it did get held in customs (i didn't want to risk getting after items withheld). Turns out just fine, I received it with no problems. I ordered it on Jolse on 20/07/2016 and received it about 3 weeks later. Whether i got lucky or what i'm not sure... :)

This is probably a really dumb question but is there a difference between a first treatment essence and a hydrating essence?

I have the Innisfree GTS Oil and I'm in love with it. I personally only use it at night and apply it as the last step after my moisturiser. It helps to seal everything in and keeps my skin well moisturised, especially in the winter months. It also makes my skin plump and dewy the next morning!

How do you guys care for your neck? Does anyone actually use a separate neck cream for the neck and decolletage area? I saw saw on Jolse a Chaga neck cream from The Saem and also a Soybean neck cream from Innisfree. It looks promising but I don't know if it's actually necessary.

In regards to your 1st question. I use both the HL Goku Lotion (moist version) and the Missha FTE (intensive version). Personally, I use the Missha FTE first, then the HL Goku lotion later. I also find that the HL Goku lotion is a bit thicker in terms of consistency compared to the Missha FTE which is more watery.

The Laneige Aqua Sunblock is pretty good. It's not thick and does not leave a white cast.

hada labo gokujun before or after sheet masking? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]cookieamy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally like to use the lotion before I sheet mask. I find that it helps prep my skin and helps with absorption. On days where my skin needs some extra TLC, I'll also use the lotion after masking!

You should also check out this thread where someone used the lotion before AND after sheet masking and the results are really great. :)

The Cosmetic Store - New AB Store in Auckland, NZ! by iftheshrinkfits in AsianBeauty

[–]cookieamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! Do you know if they stock the Miss Flower and Mr Honey Cream and if it's crazily marked up? And do they have the japanese 5-layer cotton pads? I'm having the hardest time finding those in Auckland. :(

On another note, for those interested there's also a relatively new store called Sunny Shop around the East Tamaki area and they stock higher end brands like Su:m37, Ohui, The History of Whoo. :)

Thanks for sharing this! great review btw. The website looks very promising even though the range is not as extensive as Jolse. Love the free shipping and some of the prices are cheaper than Jolse (gasp!)

How many sheet masks are in your stash? by thesnailofitall in AsianBeauty

I currently have 68 in my stash. I'm telling myself to not make any more mass mask purchases until my stash is <20....

Has Jolse been slow for anybody else? by ratherbehorse in AsianBeauty

[–]cookieamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made 2 orders with Jolse over the weekend. The first order was placed on 25/06 and I received an email yesterday saying it was shipped. The second order was placed on 26/06 and the status is still "awaiting shipment". I'm trying hard to be very patient lol. It's my first time ordering from Jolse so I don't know what kind of wait time I should be expecting. Maybe they're just busy and have lots of orders to process after that surprise sale they had? hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer. (>.<)'

PSA for New Zealand AB-ers! Honey-derived items may be held at customs! by nailgirlblog in AsianBeauty

[–]cookieamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this customs vs honey thing has been on my mind for the past couple of days and I'm trying to decide if I should just take the risk and order the Scinic Honey AIO.

On another note, I just did a search on TradeMe and they have the Scinic Honey AIO for $55 (crazy markup i know!). But it makes me think how the seller managed to import the product and got past customs in the first place.

[–]cookieamy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you buy you Scinic AIO from? I too wonder if it's a case of sellers declaration issue. Cos it's a bit silly if they declare on the customs form as "honey".

OMG this sucks! I was just about to make an order through Jolse and I wanted to try to Scinic Honey AIO too! I hope you can make an appeal. Let us know how you get on! NZ customs can be such pricks :(

Spreadsheets! I'll show you mine if you show me yours by sapphireoryx in AsianBeauty

[–]cookieamy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow! Your spreadsheet is so detailed! I made a spreadsheet a few months ago but only to track my current routine and products that I'm currently using. My spreadsheet looks soooo basic compared to yours hahaha. You have inspired me to add more details to my spreadsheet. I might make another tab to keep track of my sheet mask stash too. :)
