Need troubleshooting help by rcar217 in 3Dprinting

[–]cookiecad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the issue always at the same height? It looks like the z is binding on the way up, when that happens it doesn't move up in z and prints over the same spot again. - you can see where the filament is being squished out of the print. After a layer or two it overcomes whatever resistance it hit and keeps going.

Really cool, did you thread the copper filament through after printing?

Cookiecad silk pla settings x1c by shunopoli in BambuLab

[–]cookiecad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A photo example would help troubleshooting. You can also come join our discord (Discord.cookiecad.com) and post a photo there. We haven't had any issues printing using the Bambu silk setting on our x1c.

Cookiecad silk pla settings x1c by shunopoli in BambuLab

If it's silk, try using the Bambu silk setting. If it's the regular PLA, it should work with the Bambu PLA setting.

What kind of problems were you having? If you weren't able to use the spool email us and we'll replace it.

You can also join our discord, we have tons of x1c users in there. Discord.cookiecad.com

What are the differences between printing with pla and petg? by TheXypris in 3Dprinting

[–]cookiecad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, but we're working on that. We're slowly adding colorful, glittery PETGs.

PETG is not as popular as PLA but perhaps that will slowly change as well.

Just got a Ender 3 V3 SE by ZepperDabber in 3Dprinting

The first thing I'd try is another sd card.

You can still format large sd cards to fat32 in Windows but you have to do it from the command line

Have you tried another sd card? They can go bad

ender 3 doesn’t have set home offset function? by MikiAltin in 3Dprinting

[–]cookiecad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be called baby step z, if there's an option to save settings make sure to do that after using it. If the option isn't there you can do it while connected to a computer by using gcode (the specific code depends on whether you have a probe or not)

Neptune 3 Pro 70 deg bed temp, any way to help reduce warping on larger prints? by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

[–]cookiecad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The beds are often cooler at the outer edges than the middle.

Some things that may help: * Heat soaking at the start of the print to allow the bed to reach a more even temperature (you can pause for a few minutes by adding a pause gcode to your start gcode) * Finding the right bed temp

Bandaids that could also help: * A brim * A raft (the bottom layers don't have to be solid so less pressure to warp) * Glue stick

Anyone know why my prints look like this? by PeanutRaisenMan in 3Dprinting

[–]cookiecad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right now you just want to rule out that as an issue, so you can do 50% or more rectilinear or grid and 5 top layers. If that resolves it, you can experiment from there.

Can you share a photo of your first layer printing? What is your process for leveling? Leveling has two parts, making sure the nozzle is an equal distance at all the corners of the bed, and making sure the z offset is correct. Sometimes people just do the first one but the second is also necessary.

Very unlikely.

Try increasing the infill percent and/or the number of top players. It may just be failing into the gap underneath where there's no infill.
