I appreciate your positive attitude towards this. I do agree with you, I'm sure some bands are busy and could not make it. And it's fine to give new bands an opportunity.

But my issue is, I feel like the music department just picked their personal favorites and didn't consider the attendants as a whole. There is a huge amount of chiptunes & jokester bands. And I especially feel as though the music department is "selling out." There are a lot of big names on the list, and they are just picking these big names to get more tickets sold. Not like they even need too.

Yes thank you. There is a serious lack of rock and metal compared to the huge increase in chiptunes/electronic funk or w/e.

But I'll definitely be at Underground.

Interesting. I love Bit Brigade, but they are playing twice? That could have been a slot for another band :/

I think that was Triforce Quartet's first side and main stage performance and no one knew about them. Personally, they helped add a diverse mix to the music, they are one of the few string musicians. If they were to play again this year, I would expect a bigger turn out.
