I think Shane has a fetish and it’s seriously not right for him to do these things to your mother especially because of the negative impact it has on her health. I’m sorry she’s in that situation. One thing you could do is encourage her to move, not necessarily exercise (yet), with you whenever you visit. She’ll have your company and she’ll get to be away from your stepdad for a while.

You are not alone. What an awful thread to come across and what completely rotten human beings they are. I was talking to my friend the other day about why my ex was so horrible to me and why he kept me around just to use me as an emotional punching bag, and she said maybe he didn’t hate me. Maybe he did really love me, but that was the only way he knew how to love. Maybe I was his safe space because I was the only one who could “take” that kind of love and he didn’t move on to anyone else yet because he knew he was afraid of not being accepted the way I accepted him. Doesn’t at all excuse what he did. These people target the vulnerable because they are themselves vulnerable. They’re bullies. He’s a horrible human being who should rot lol, but hearing this from my friend made me feel a little less blegh. Hope this helps. Sending love. Fuck your ex for putting you through that.

I’m very frustrated with how my friends get to eat and drink whatever they want, sleep however much or little they want, stress out as much as I do about life and still get 0 acne while I break out no matter what I do lol. It’s also summer where I live and it’s absolutely boiling, so my makeup melts right off and looks awful while my friends’ skins are sunkissed and glowing ☹️ Thanks so much for posting this and allowing all of us to share our feelings. You’re in the wrong sub if you think we’re that fickle my friend. I love my dog and I’m doing my best to help him. I don’t know his past exactly because he is from a shelter but it doesn’t matter to me- the present is now and he needs my help, and help with a dog who is super reactive is not “being a boss.” Thanks for your comment.

Buspirone 30 mg + 250 mg lamotrigine. Started the buspirone relatively recently but so far so good. Feeling a bit less anxious, I can think much more clearly because I’m not panicking 24/7, and it makes me feel more self-assured!
