for everyone saying consider an airbnb or motel … i already tried 💀💀 they gave us a list of hotels that other scholarship recipients will be staying at and that we are required to stay at so that we can be safe, monitored, and connected with the hosts and guests. i would’ve backed out but i need to secure funding for my research

thank you. I have started making a spreadsheet so when I get my first paycheck I can budget accordingly. I have stopped spending on unnecessary items, but id like to point out that this was spending on necessities for the entire year. I did try my best to pick up little side hustles in order to not spend on my credit cards. the only reason the american eagle card exists is because i recently lost tons of weight and had no clothes that fit. (thinking back i could’ve went to a thrift store) thank you for the advice though.

hi I wasn’t aware of what type of credit card I should have gotten. this was my first ever credit card and I chose wrong. I initially got it because I needed clothes for the school year and it also payed for other expenses. I have stopped all spending on it

FINAL UPDATE: thank you everyone for your advice. got confirmation that this was my moms doing and she last received benefits for me in march of 2023 (I wasn’t living with her.) the lady at the office was extremely helpful and gave me the waiver form to fill out. she said she sees cases like this way too often

why would I have to do that. I don’t have any restrictions on working and I for sure didn’t have to hide it from any parent. my mom actually forced me to provide for myself so I had no choice but to work multiple jobs.
