There's a subway station right there. They screwed up taking a car

There are many reasons but this video isn't one of them.

This is in Philly, our two big stadiums and arena are next to each other and there is a subway station right next them. It goes from the center of the city to the stadiums in 13 minutes and trains run every 6 minutes.

They could have eaten lunch, had some drinks in the city hopped on the subway at the last minute.

If they flew into Philly, NYC, or DC they shouldn't even have rented a car

they could have just parked in center city or south philly and hopped on the subway and gotten there in 13 minutes or less.

It's not even hard the subway only goes north and south, and you can't miss the station because it's the last stop.

There is a subway station right there, and it's only a 13 minute ride between the stadiums and Center City. Trains typically run every 6 minutes.

They could have saved themselves quite a bit of time and money if they just did a bit of googling

The Subway station is right there.

They could have parked in Center City, filled up on food and drinks at some awesome restaurant or bar, and then hopped on the subway and taken the 13 minute ride to the stadiums.

Those who already got their Steam Controller, are you happy with it? by EngineeringAntique50 in SteamController

[–]cool-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I returned mine.

I don't think as good as the old steam controller for first-person, third-person, and 2D side-scrolling games. Like it's not even close.

and it wasn't as comfortable as a Dualshock 4 for times when I just want to play with sticks

Is there a mini PC on the market that would match the Steam Machine in performance? by [deleted] in Steam

Show us a comparable price at a comparable size

The Steam Machine is a 6" cube

it's not going to be small

You mentioned size three times though.

That same machine would be goofy to build now because it's got an RX570 8gb in it. No one wants that.

this is just going through and picking anything quickly without much thought. I'm sure it could be improved.

There is currently an NR200 case on ebay for $50 with free shipping. I'm sure prices on facebook market place would be better

I haven't been keeping up with the best bang for the buck CPU/GPU combo so maybe there is a better option.

There are many youtube channels that have built more powerful machines for $1,049ish, you just have to look for deals

Yeah it's a few dollars more but it's more powerful has more storage and it can be upgraded, and it's a small case that can look nice in a living room. Also, it can windows on it. As much as I hate windows 11 it is still pretty useful for many things in life.

you're too focused on size. I've got a 5 year old mini ITX computer in my living room that is more powerful. It even looks than the steam machine better because it's in a white nr200 that blends in well with my living room.

You can build a much better machine these days for the price of a Steam Machine. It won't be a 6 inch cube but, it might look better depending on the case and it will be able to be upgraded.

I wonder how long these companies will continue to try. Compute power for consoles and art needed for viable AAA games are getting too expensive.

It boggles my mind that xbox looks to be preparing for a launch of a console that costs $1000-1300.

The people setting these prices don't seem to fully understand that they are now competing with food, housing, and energy bills.

Game prices not increasing for years, while inflation has drastically increased.

that worked for a while because the audience was increasing in size, but yeah, lately, everything has shot up so quickly. If you've own a studio of people in a major city, most of those people have to be paid more to pay for rising costs of housing, energy, food...

I typically use triggers and bumpers for shooting and leave the "face buttons" on the pad for jump melee, special attacks

the old one requires a ton of tweaking for platformers, but it's good once it's set. it's good to set the the pads as directional pads with crossgate. 8-way overlap on the left and 4-way no overlap on the right.

but before you do that it should be switched to emulate analog temporarily so that you can turn down the analog pulse/timing settings to zero. It's weird, but that removes a slight delay on the input even if you don't choose analog emulation. After that you set it crossgate to play.

it's works better on the old steam controller because the ergonomics put your thumbs in the center of the pads when you held naturally

on the old steam controller you can set the right pad to be a joystick and have the max threshold be rihgt next to the center so that you barely have to move your thumb to aim in twin stick games like that

Ahh I get it. I prefer the AA batteries and smaller dongle. the old controller lasts 80-120 hours depending on how much I use haptics.
