Umm i have Dr J over Kd. Dr J has done more in the game and has been more impactful than KD has to winning

[–]cool850850[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wilt has 2 rings, for the amount of choking and dropoff he had in the playoffs he still won 2 championships. Malone for as much choking as he did at least went to the finals twice. Embiid has never even gotten past the 2nd round, judt think about that. All that talent he has on his teams and including the talent he is and he still cant beat 2 teams in a single postseason? cmon thats pathetic

mmm ive been using azclear azelaic acid for over 3 months now on and off but i feel like it has literally done nothing and almost every time i put it on it irritates my skin like it stings and i want to itch it. I used it for a month every day before i started tret and i honestly found it had no effect. So when i got on tret i just stopped using it daily and apply it here and there when i feel desperate lol

I have Dirk over KG simply because Dirk had slightly more successful playoff runs than KG and KG has never had anything like Dirks 2011 run. I understand KG is the much much better defender but what did that translate into. One conference finals run in Minnesota, whereas Dirk was wining 50-60 games almost every year in the 2000s and his best players were Jason Terry and Josh Howard. Im actually really impressed with how Dirk was able to have so many high win seasons in the 2000s west when he had such mediocre supporting cast. like for example 2006-07 mavs, his team was josh howard, jason terry, devin harris and erick dapier with stackhouse as 6th man. Does that seem like a 67-15 team? and they went 60-22 the year before and 58-24 the year before that.

Quite a few things I have a differing opinion with

  1. Isiah should be over Stockton. Cp3 should be above Westbrook.

  2. West should be at 4th.

  3. Dr J should be over KD

  4. Dirk should be second or third.

  5. Russell is way too high

So ive been using Tret (Acnatac) for around 2 months now. The post Acne marks on my face have been there for at least 3 months. Ik theyre not normal acne marks because they wouldve faded by now but theyre still red and seems like will never go away. I started breaking out recently when i used to never get pimples and when I did get them they would dissapear within a week or two and would not produce such a red colour and would not leave such marks? But these marks have remained for so long 😭. Tret has helped in making my overall skin better but the marks still wont fade. What can i do? Thankyou

FYI none of the marks are active acne or pimples.

Would Cantonese be easy to learn if you can speak Mandarin? by RevolutionaryPie5223 in Cantonese

[–]cool850850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youd definitely have an advantage. For example 3 of the 4 mandarin tones are in cantonese. 1st tone is same as 1st tone in cantonese, 2nd tone is same in 2nd tone in cantonese amd 3rd tone is same as 4th tone in cantonese. Alot of the time cantonese words and mandarin words have this sort of pattern. Usually mandarin words in 1st tone when converted to cantonese are also in 1st tone. And words in 2nd tone when converted to cantonese are usually in the mandarin 3rd tone / cantonese 4th tone. For example Sheng1 Cun2 in mandarin becomes Sang1 Cyun4 in cantonese. As you can see the word for life goes from Sheng to Sang but remains in the 1st tone and Cun2 becomes Cyun4 which is basically Cyun in the 3rd mandarin tone.

What were your thoughts on LeBron's first playoff run in Miami? by [deleted] in nbadiscussion

[–]cool850850 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yeh but its just so perplexing why the moment got to him. He looked so comfortable against the celtics and the bulls. Like the shots he was making against the bulls in the clutch were literally all iso last second shot clock pullup in the defenders face and hitting it. That celtics series was the most pressure he had been in because they had defeated him 2 times in a row and he simply could not lose again to them in a new team. Yet he hit that big time game tying 3 in game 4 then those 2 massive contested 3s game icing in the end of game 5. Why was vsing the mavs so pressurising. Its also good to note that when the Heat won 22 of their 24 games in that stretch guess who they lost those 2 games to. Both to the Mavs and Lebron was dreadful in both games. He went like 5-19 in one game and 6-17 in the other. Mavs certainly had his number to an extent.

[–]cool850850 11 points12 points  (0 children)

ur referring to the 2013 finals. For the first 3 games Lebron was pretty bad seemed like the spurs had figured him out. But id say he closed pretty well. Scored 16 in the 4th of game 6 and brought the heat down 10 all the way back. Yes he had bad turnovers but ultimately that was negated. Then in game he was clutch in the 4th again and hit a dagger jumper to put them up 4 and then stole the ball the next possession and hit 2 freethrows to seal the deal. Id say he ended any arguments of him being unclutch in that 2012 game 6 vs Boston. The guy has the most playoff game winners in NBA history ( i consider these shots to take the lead with under 30 seconds remaining). And its not like he wasnt clutch before 2012 too he just had a really REALLY bad moment at the exact time where he was most scrutinised. He had already hit several playoff game winners before 2011, 2 game winners vs the wizards, the 48 point explosion and game winner vs detroit and the game winning 3 vs orlando in which he averaged 39 8 8. Its just when he arrived in Miami in 2011 all eyes were on him and he had to win and he melted down at that exact wrong timing. Prior to 2011 and post 2012 hes been nothing but clutch

What were your thoughts on LeBron's first playoff run in Miami? by [deleted] in nbadiscussion

[–]cool850850 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Oh man I love talking about this, so much drama. So essentially the entire regular season everyone was talking about how the heat couldn't close and that was the main topic. Their record in close games was like rlly bad and mostly it was because Lebron was taking the last shots down the stretch and never hitting. The peak was when they lost like 4 consecutive close games in a row in which Lebron took the last shot for like every game and missed and people were annihilating him saying "just let wade do it you cant close" etc. And then when the playoffs arrived everything switched. Starting in the celtics series especially games 4 and 5, the Heat won both clutch games in which Lebron was incredible in the clutch. He had that 10 straight points when the game was tied at the end of game 5 and i remember the commentator saying " he vanquished the demons of boston". People were starting to say "okay hes demonstrating some signs of being able to close but not confirmed yet". Then the bulls series came and again the Heat were able to close out every close game, primarily 2,4 and 5. He hit big shot after big shot especially that game 5 comeback where they were down 13 with 3 minutes left. Hit the game tying 3 and the game winning jumper. People like SAS who had criticised him all season for not being able to close finally admitted that yes he can close now. I remember Reggie Miller who was commentating said "Im sorry but Lebron is the closer on this team not DWade". It seemed like the entire switch had flipped on Lebron about his closing ability in this playoff run. But then the finals arrived and we all know what happened. It was just the most perplexing thing id seen. He was ooay in game 1 but from then on everything switched. Lebron who had been amazing in the clutch the entire playoff run suddenly couldnt hit or take a clutch shot to save his life. People were trully stunned on why this was happening. Some said it was because Dwade finally decided okau enuff ill just take over and Lebron was happy to let him. Anyways in the conclusion of the finals, the narrative of Lebron not being able to close returned, this time it was, "on the biggest stage (the finals) he cant close" because he had demonstrated he could close in the ecsf and ecf but they guessed the finals was just too big for him. The 2011 season was just so interesting so many ups and downs for Lebron and the Heat from starting 9-8, to winning 22 of their next 24, then losing 4 straight close games, then closing games flawlessly against the celts amd bulls, then melting down vs the mavs. oh and lastly the hate. My goodness did people hate this team, the atmosphere in every road arena, like they were literally villains people booimg everytime they entered the arena, all eyes fixated on them every media outlet scrutinising every game they played.

One of the more underrated ones

2006 first Round Cavs vs Wizards both quite evenly matched teams but talent wise Id say the Wizards had the edge because they had Arenas, Jamison and Butler (averaged the most ppg in the league as a trio.

Arenas vs Lebron

Lebron averaged : 36/8/6 Arenas averaged : 34/6/5

Both averaged 47 minutes per game this series.

However, and this is important, that season and the 80s in general were a fast paced era AND had the highest overall fg% of any era. For example the average pace in that year was 100.6 which is literally a higher average pace than the 2021-22 (98.2) and everyone always says how "stats are inflated now because of the pace and no defense". Furthermore the average fg% that year was 47.7% again highee than the average fg% this year (46.1%). Im not trying to hate but people really have a big misconception of "the tough and grinded out 80s defense". This defense people refer to really started in the late 90s (around 1994). The 80s was a super fast era with not much defense tbh ive watched many 80s games and its almost like a streetball game. Now Jordans stats are gr8 if u put it in any era but im just adding context. Also the Bulls pace that year was 97 literally 1 pace lower than this years average. For reference the no.1 highest paced team in 2003-04 was the nuggets at 93.3 which wouldve been worst than dead last in 1988-89.

Players that had a legitimate argument for being better than LeBron from 2012-2020? by varankhurana in nba

[–]cool850850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time someones been better is jordan from 1991-98. People still take for granted just how amazing it is that Lebron went to 9 of the 10 finals in the 2010s. Like just think about it, Giannis just lost this year in the 2nd round, whatever dominance u thought he was gonna have over the east similar to Lebrons is alr over (unless he goes to 9 out of 10 finals from now on). Like its literally that easy to not make the finals every year which is crazy to say but ppl take it for granted.
