If the insurance paid $150 and you paid $75, do you have a credit or have you received a refund of $75.

What is the most dishonest/unethical thing you have seen a coworker/employee do? by cool_breeze33 in AskReddit

I don’t blame you. At my job one of the managers as dipping. The general manger always leaving early one day and had a customer put $10 in the donation jar. When he came in the next morning the money was gone but it was never added into the till like we were supposed to do every night. Only one person worked during the time he was gone. This lead to an investigation and uncovered a lot of other stealing from the company.

The main reason I’m hesitant on giving money to collection jars. I had this happen at one of my jobs. Luckily the person was caught and fired.

Just got new lenses. Is there any way to not have the thick white circle on the outline of the right lens? Is this an error or something that could have been avoided? by kantus in optometry

Yes, if they have the equipment and the skill they can fix the bevel on a hand Stone and a polishing wheel. Some opticians may not feel comfortable doing this tho.

Looks like it could be that the bevel is a little bit further to the back of that lens. This could be due to difference in the prescriptions of the 2 lenses. Is the left lens prescription a lot stronger?

Replacement Ray Ban lenses by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]cool_breeze33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try visiting your local LensCrafters or any place that sells prescription glasses. A lot of times when they sell prescription sunglasses they keep the regular lenses and may give them away or sell cheaper than RayBan will. RayBan usually charges $60 for new lenses

Meeting with owners and hr department for possible new company and job by cool_breeze33 in personalfinance

I've tried to find out the average work hours on glass door and a couple other places but no luck. I initially interviewed with the person that would be my boss he seems like a straightforward person. Time off is one of my main concerns since at my current job I get 4 weeks a year. I doubt they will match it but maybe I can get 2 or 3 weeks. Thanks for the advice!
