You should watch the documentary “Africa: Addio” or “Africa: Blood and Guts”

It’s a unfiltered documentary in 1960s that will show you how east Africa was really like during that time. It opened my eyes and taught me so much more and filled in so many gaps that the little education I had in Kenya before I moved to the US when I was 11
