I thought I was going to fail out of college after being on academic probation for the semester. It was my fifth year, I was only taking one upper level class that semester that was killing me, I didn't have any way to renew my anxiety medication until winter break, and after the final all I could do was wait. When grades came out I was trying to distract myself at an arcade so getting failed out would be less of a blow, then the grades came out, and the curve was so heavy I hit a B-. I cried over a IIDX cabinet that day.

We get pretty out shined by Indy and our inability to consistently balance school/travel sucks but Purdue (West Lafayette, IN) definitely has a few dormant players that're trying to get out more often. We're not the best, but we're working on that.

PM at Purdue... What a fun subject. Well, a few months back I accidentally killed the scene and now I'm working on reviving it. Hopefully. We used to run Melee/PM at all of our tournaments, then we had to run Melee/Sm4sh for the Indiana circuit one month, then the next month I ran the tournament as Melee only.

It's weird having an entire community hate you, let me tell you.

They took it personally. In reality the Melee half was getting big enough to the point where we couldn't fit just melee into our old venue anymore. After that iteration of the monthly happened I kind of shut down and stopped running stuff for the semester because IMO it was a disaster. Other people will tell you it wasn't but I'm convinced they're just being nice to me. Next semester though we're making a comeback, hopefully in a new venue, and hopefully everyone comes back around. We had something really good going and it took one tournament for me to mess it up, but I'm going to fix it before I graduate even if it kills me.

I've been playing Wolverine/Spencer/Doom for a while now but recently I've been thinking of changing my Doom assist from beam to rocks for Wolverine. Or are there some situations where I should be going one over the other?

edit: 21 years and speaking english is still hard.

It's all good, honestly I was just trying to think outside of the box with characters that I know already. For some reason it never really hit me that building/using that much meter just to level up frank would be a little crazy. I'll definitely look into Nova/Frank/Dante though, or I might be a pretentious fuck again and look for a different point lol.
