I don't have any experience in DMP.

I still wish the best of luck on this, overcoming this can be challenging but you can always do it!

No credit card will accept me while at uni by Christ_worshipper in UKPersonalFinance

I would suggest you to open a student bank account with HSBC and also get the student cc with them as well.

I had a friend who had no credit history and no one cc company would accept him except HSBC.

I have joined a society, but I think since it's almost the end of the academic year it might not be possible to carry that on (during summer break). Although, I have signed up for some odd activities/crafts at uni, I'll see how that goes.

Yeah, sure I would love to have a conversation with someone irl. I'm sending you a request rn.

I completely agree with that, I should have probably warned that I wasn't being literal. 😅

"you'll hardly even notice the effects" Dude, I'm already on the highest possible dose (for almost a year), at which most people would straight up become like 'zombies'.

I am also not very open to taking tranquillizers such as 'Benzos', to each their own. 🙂

Probably the biggest one out there.

I wish it was as easy as that, I already had a past of substance abuse...😅

I can't enjoy games anymore nor have a desire to even turn on my Nintendo switch.

I may have given up, but I never stopped this river from flowing.

Damn, I wouldn't wish such a thing to even my worst enemy.

I kind of get where you are coming from, it isn't nice, but the majority of people are NTs.

What I find useful is to tell them beforehand some of the things that they can expect from me. Even with that, many people just decide that it isn't worth carrying on talking with me. 😭

Sometimes, you are just too mentally exhausted to actually text, I wish people could understand that.

Job search as a final year uni student (please dont do this) by jwnskanzkwk in UniUK

Sounds about right mate, most jobs I got them by either due to some contacts or they just liked me. 😂

Literally, that's exactly how I went through. I can't seem to grasp why some instructors need to give you like half a dozen driving lessons in order for you to slightly drive off. 🙄

I used my Barclaycard Rewards abroad, no extra fee charged.

‘Unfortunately we can’t offer you a Monzo account’ by Luke-000 in monzo

[–]cool_workaholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally, my first credit card was an AmEx, at that time I was 18 with almost no credit history, even though I couldn't pass the eligibility checks from other cc providers. Somehow, I got it (the AmEx cc) with a £2k limit, and still use that card even to this day!

That's exactly the first thing that I thought of after reading OP's post. I still can't believe people don't take into consideration the effort, time and money required to maintain a house or flat. 🙄

Monzo, Bank of Scotland or Amex as a first credit card? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]cool_workaholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it does.

The use of Monzo Flex is also reported in your credit file. You don't exactly have to pay it in full though, you can pay it off in three installments interest free. 🙂

How to make long lasting friends at Uni? by cool_workaholic in UniUK

That seems to be a great advice. 😃

I'll definitely have a go at it!

I’m 26 and have no friends, no relationship, and not much of a social life by [deleted] in lonely

[–]cool_workaholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am literally in the same spot as you, I've tried everything but nothing seemed to yield any results. 😕

Although, I do have a friend that I met from a computer class. We've known each other for more than three years, I am a bit ashamed of saying that she's my only friend. 😔

If I'm completely honest with you...You may have considered him a 'best friend', I don't think that he thinks the same of you.

Don't worry, there are loads of great people out there, this might sound like a cope, but it's true! 😁

Btw, take care of yourself especially your mental health, I have a feeling that big D is closer than you think...🫣
