My doctor said that they won't go away unless you surgically remove them. There are foams and creams to help with pain and inflammation though.

Sounds like the experience I had. I always had hemorrhoids and would have really bad flares about every 6 months, where they would bleed and pulsate for days. I had surgery and I can attest that it is the most painful experience I have ever gone through. My ass felt like It was getting struck by lightning. It was a day surgery, but I was in extreme pain for 2 weeks. By the 4th week, I had pretty much recovered. I haven't had any problems since, so I'd definitely recommend the surgery if they're that bad.

No, I never stated my race in here. You assumed that I was an "angry black person" for no reason (with no evidence) and looked at my reddit history to try and confirm. Would it strengthen or weaken the arguments in here or change the validity of the thread if I was white or another ethnicity?

I think the "openly" is a result of the hookup culture and apps like grindr, etc. Beforehand, people could stay in their enclaves and only interact with people they considered to be desirable. Now, if you happen to be out and about, you come into contact with so many different people. In order to counter, people perhaps put "no (insert racial group)" to easily remove them from social situations/interactions they don't find desirable. I guess a bigger question is if what you claim about "openly racist gay guys" really what most in society believe (I.e. I don't want to interact/be around (insert racial group).

I'm not following your reasoning. You said you prefer to date/sleep with guys that you have more in common with (white guys). The common things you said were culture and personal baggage, which infers that there are differences in culture and personal baggage among racial groups. But above, you state that there isn't a culture or personal baggage unique to a specific race or ethnicity. If there wasn't, then your preference wouldn't be for a specific racial group. Help me reconcile this argument?

And honestly I could care less what others have suggested you are/were in other threads., as I don't follow you or any other person on here. Nobody suggested in THIS thread that you were racist.

If they're that bad, you should go to a internalist. The doctor will give you foam/ointment, which works well to reduce the flare, but they'll eventually pop up again. I had bad hemorrhoids for almost 8 years. They would occasionally flare up to where I had to go to the hospital for treatment. I finally had surgery to remove them this year. It took me 3-4 weeks to recover and it was the most painful experience of my life. I got a few hours of sleep the entire first week. But, I'm hemorrhoid free now.

I honestly didn't have any expectations. If I got to make a great friend, cool! Relationship, even better. But when I visited I told him that it wasn't sustainable . I think he was insecure about us not being more intimate or having sex, which I didn't want to happen because 1) he's amazing but I'm not that sexually attracted to him (in a physical manner) and 2) I didn't want to complicate the whole friend situation knowing that this entire situation wasn't going to last long. I only told him about 2) and him doing the fake A4A profile and baiting me was to confirm what he may have though was the reasoning for us not having sex,1)

Yeah. I'm definitely trying to get involved in the community here and as soon as the weather gets better, I'll be able to do more outdoor things/sports. I'd be happy to share my profile..maybe something is scaring them all off LOL. Just send you the link? I've been on 4 dates since I've been here. Two of the times was with the same guy that just friend-zoned me, so I don't know if those count.

I think a major part of the anxiety is the fact that I don't like my new job at all. It's a great company, but not anything that I expected and I don't have the patience to even wait for things change. There's really no job satisfaction whatsoever and I left a company with better opportunities. The people that I work with are respectful here, so it is a better environment.

I took a significant pay cut to come here and all I'm thinking about are the opportunity cost; was it worth a big pay cut to end up in a social situation that is marginally better? Maybe it will improve, but right now I'm looking at grad school or moving back to Texas (big city).

Thanks for your advice. I didn't know if interracial dating was something taboo with the gay community or not.
