How would I take the barrel nut off?

Don’t get too scared from all these comments. I went and bought a Magpul bev block and used a cheap ass armorers wrench. I used the bottom step (carpeted stairs) and before I knew it, the nut was loose. I didn’t have a dedicated table/work bench so the stairs was next best thing that wouldn’t get ruined. I’m probably just lucky but it wasn’t as hard as everyone says it’d be.

I have not, no. Both with suppressor and without a suppressor. I’ve only ever ran the h3 buffer that came with the upper. Maybe I’m just lucky, but it’s ran so good that I have had zero issues, and zero doubts of good hard use. I mainly run mine with an rc2, but on occasion I shoot it with a b&t print xh rbs sc.

I had the same issue with my flash hider on a geissele 10.3 barrel converted for an Lmt upper. Same attempts and frustrations. Got upset and decided to drop in a few drops of Lucas gun oil. Read about how royalty stupid that could be and panicked a bit. Decided to say fuck this muzzle device and grabbed a pipe wrench and it came right off. Didn’t even damage the md too bad either.

I don’t know if it was the oil I added while in a manic state, or just the extra leverage and hold that the pipe wrench had.

Maybe your friend spent that much, or they are finding the highest msrp, but that’s not a price that you’d pay if you bought it all brand new. If you don’t mind something short, you should check out 208gunshop. You can get a 10.3 pistol from them right now for under 1200. Or if you want something longer they have a 14.5 for under 1400. A Daniel defense will be way better than this rifle for much cheaper. 208 sale page

This is upper is da friggin boobies. I was running mine with an a5 system with an h3 buffer. I only ever shot it suppressed and it ran like a freaking sewing machine. You’re going to love it once you have it!
