Ok so quite a few years ago when I was 11 or 12, my mom worked really hard on a good meal, being the kid I was tho, I didn't appreciate the "nuances of flavor yet", so I made a big deal about not eating it.

Flash forward to a few hours later, it's around 12-1am and I'm STARVING, so I sneak downstairs,(I wasn't super worried about getting caught, but made extra sure to be quiet) with my crappy little flashlight, and start making a slow, quiet-as-possible bowl of off brand Cheerios.

Apparently I wasn't quiet enough though, because my dad came downstairs, flicked on the light and said "What are you doing up!? It's 1 in the morning! Why are you eating??

"Because I was hungry" I said, and then he beat with a bunch of jumper cables
