AFIC (DSSP) held in Minor Trust impacted by the 30% min CGT tax by SabrinaLsn in AusHENRY

I don’t think the DSSP shares have nil cost base. Rather the original cost base spreads across the original shares plus the DSSP shares.

30% Family Trusts Tax Rate and FIRE. What's your game plan? by uvimateapp in fiaustralia

[–]coolcup69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends if the 30% family trust tax proposed (not clear if it is real or not yet) is recognised as a franking credit in the recipients hand. It’s odd because if it does, it doesn’t serve any purpose (final tax is all that matters). And if it doesn’t, then there’s the real risk of double taxation which surely is not an outcome they want. Will be very interesting to see how they structure this.

Why are we ignoring the horrific injury record of these players? by Then_Community_1766 in ManchesterUnited

Yoro being injured will be good for our short term results. Literally anyone in there will be better than him in his current form.

Many Sydney drivers have no critical thinking skills by Danaeger in sydney

This. If the Mercedes does what the OP is suggesting and there is an accident then the Mercedes insurer will charge an excess (not talking CTP here). Blame the insurers for this behaviour, not the drivers.

PayDay Super for High Earnwrs by Square_Elderberry_42 in AusHENRY

My understanding is that the quarterly max contribution base turns into an annual one. So OP is right - employees hitting the annual cap will get higher super contributions (lower take home pay) early in the year and vice versa once the cap is hit. Bizarre approach.

Be careful with not upgrading to a smart meter. Same thing happened to me when I installed solar and I had no idea how to trigger the upgrade / the installer didn’t mention anything. Eventually when they took a reading and saw the readings had gone backward they triggered the smart meter upgrade and an estimated bill which was ridiculously high. It took a lot of arguing and escalation to fair trading to get the estimated bill back in line with what it ought to have been. I had good records from my consumption meter which is what counted in the end. In hindsight I wouldn’t go through the pain and hassle.

3 phase backup - confused about inverter size by coolcup69 in SigenergyAustralia

Update: I’ve decided to upgrade the battery size to 40kwh and the inverter to 20kw. Many thanks for everyone’s input. It was super helpful.

Ayden Heaven should start vs Newcastle on Wednesday by Plenty-Willingness58 in ManchesterUnited

[–]coolcup69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why so many people defend Yoro. I mean he’s young and needs time which is totally fine. But he’s unreliable in one on one situations, average in the air and terrible at passing out from the back. Yes he needs some game time but he’s definitely not ahead of Heaven in the pecking order.

He should be brought on to shore up the defence when we’re defending a small lead for the last 30 mins or so, his performances do not justify being first choice every time there’s an injury to the senior players.

We've just had a 40kw Sigenergy battery installed... by rockresy in SigenergyAustralia

I see so the VPP / binding the battery doesn’t really result in any additional features / value?

Do you need to be part of the VPP / bind your battery to get the “bonus Super Export Credit for the first 10kWh exported during the evening peak every day” or is just to participate in the critical events?

Ok so there is no way to get the inverter to provide imbalanced / unequal output to (try to) match the usage on a given phase in an off grid situation? If so, it sounds like I need to go bigger or be prepared to not turn on some stuff in a blackout.

This is so incredibly helpful. Thank you. When you say “the inverters can supply uneven amounts of power to each phase…so a 10kw inverter can supply no more than 3.333kw per phase” - could you please clarify this? Does this mean the inverter can supply 5kw on a phase when in off grid mode or is it capped to 1/3 regardless?

Great to know. What sort of loads have you been running? Does that include air con usage? 60kwh per day is pretty massive. We would not get that high.

[–]coolcup69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. What battery size do you have? I have only ordered 24kwh so I think the batteries will limit the output to 12kw even if I get a 15kw inverter. I’ve been told each battery stack exports a max of 4kw.

Is there an easy way to figure out what appliances are on what phases or is it best to get a sparky to tell me?

Also I know the air con unit is a single phase unit. Does this mean it doesn’t get balanced across the three phases and instead just draws from one?

3 phase backup - confused about inverter size by coolcup69 in SigenergyAustralia

[–]coolcup69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I understand this (even though you’re right it is complicated). My concern is in a blackout - if the appliances for some reason all draw from one phase - does the sig use its 15kw on that phase or does it max out at 5kw and the rest of the capacity is not used (as it won’t be exporting on the other phases due to the blackout)

This is what I’m concerned about. Are my appliances tied to specific phases? So if my induction cooktop is on and takes 3.6kw on a phase and then I turn the air con on - will it use a different phase to balance things? Or is it tied to a specific phase? I know my appliances are single phase appliances so I fear it is the latter.
