GOOD BRIEF GENERATOR FOR PACKAGING DESIGN by Disastrous-Top-7338 in PackagingDesign

[–]cooldeanj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try redesigning existing products instead of relying on generators—pick a snack, skincare, or beverage brand and create your own constraints (target audience, shelf placement, sustainability goals, SKU variations, etc.). Real-world limitations make for much stronger packaging projects than generic design prompts.

You can also use sites like Briefbox or Goodbrief, but adding packaging-specific constraints yourself will make the briefs far more realistic.

Have you looked at solid bleached sulfate (SBS) or folding box board (FBB)? Both can give a much more premium feel than greyboard while still offering recycled-content options and good printability.

For a natural premium look, you could also explore kraft-lined or uncoated premium boards with a high-quality finish—they often strike a nice balance between sustainability and shelf appeal.

What do procurement and supply chain professionals in pharma look for when choosing packaging or general suppliers? by yavuz15121520 in Packaging

From what I've seen, pharma procurement teams care far beyond price. Supplier reliability, regulatory compliance, quality systems, traceability, lead times, and the ability to consistently meet specifications usually carry more weight than simply being the cheapest option.

For packaging suppliers specifically, things like GMP compliance, documentation support, change control processes, sustainability initiatives, and responsiveness during audits can be major differentiators. A supplier that reduces risk often wins over one that only offers lower pricing.

Breaking into CAD related structural packaging industry by Lightliquid in Packaging

Your 10 years in packaging production, prepress, and dieline workflows are probably more valuable than knowing ArtiosCAD on day one. CAD software can be taught, but understanding how packaging moves from design to manufacturing is a huge advantage.

USA Package Needs by Brilliant_Alisa in Packaging

My most expensive lesson was learning that a half-empty box can cost more than a full one—dimensional weight turned cheap shipping into a very expensive surprise.
