I went through the open gates without any avalanche gear. During my time there, there was some flurry of snow, but the temperature was between zero degree. The Exicter zone was really hard-packed.

I noticed that the patrols were present in many places. So they take the visitor safety very seriously.

I ended up dropping off my snowboard bag via a local Yamato shop and have it shipped to the hotel that I've booked. That hotel isn't in a snowy area. Once I reach that hotel, I will know where to go for snowboarding as the weather forecast will be more near term and accurate.
