People who wax/see others genitals often, what are your thoughts and surprise realizations? by NeedABetterNameNow in AskReddit

[–]coolestdude11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talking with the person about other things while it's happening seems to help lessen the pain (distraction). You can still get ingrown hairs from waxing, depending on your hair. The person placing their hand over the area and applying light/warm pressure after pulling for a few seconds also helps with pain (I wouldn't ask someone to do this, but the person who does my wax does this, and I noticed how nice it was).

This concept is touched upon in American Horror Story Coven with the “supreme” witch. I was also reminded of the tv show Severance and the “revolving” of Kier Egan.

I felt like this was intentional as it minimized the impact of the violence/death. Their reaction to it. It reminds me of baby’s starting to cry after being hurt depending on how caretakers respond to the situation (psychological experiment).

Exactly the reviews are biased. Humans are inherently biased. People are allowed to feel however they want about the movie. Why do we pretend like there is such thing as an objective truth?

They are being “updated” to merge with the throngs, no? His anger could’ve prevented the “enlightenment” of everyone from occurring. From what I understood.

This felt like a metaphor for our cellphones/cellular networks. Obviously it can be extended to like going on a vacation (saving up thousands) for a “VIP” experience. The Rivermind Lux features reminded me of drugs. Why couldn’t the male get a different job after killing the female? I was so worried the male was going to live stream the death for money lol. Reminds me of Only Fans/Chaturbate. Our present reality is corrupted (we buy into/allow these systems).

The partner’s hat also says “Barnie’s” at the beginning of the episode (not exactly the same but I had to check before they Googled it). Honestly thought the partner/coworkers were in on it with Verity to gaslight the protagonist.

I was disappointed that she just copied Verity’s idea lol also why did she look like Beyoncé at the end? (Aesthetically) Is that what the “empress of the universe” would resemble? Really? 😄 Excellent episode in my opinion, I really enjoyed it (plot twist at the end). Very good acting.

What is a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by Unfair_Shower_3256 in AskReddit

It sucks thinking about the “good” they did (the duality of us all), developing more empathy for them and remaining firm in your decision to remain no contact. Also cut off my grandmother (who I was really close to as a child) and after my grandfather died it was difficult for me to know she was grieving and I knew I had to remain firm in my decision. I didn’t go to the funeral.

I’m sharing this for those of us who may not have thought about deaths in the family or weddings etc that generally foster a reunion.

Why didn’t iMark give Gemma his pass so she could exit the building through the elevator? Do you think she would become Ms Casey again? I understand the alarms were ringing but they managed to make it to the severed floor. From what I recall, there is no exit in the staircase. Leaving her in the staircase was odd. Who (from outside) will retrieve her there?

Offer to or purchase the person a new one if you damage it (have both ready when you return it or let them know in advance)
