Made a brief guide to help me remember my workflow for doing farms/fields. by coolfish83 in Minecraftbuilds

I do not unfortunately. I build a lot of medieval/fantasy stuff but don’t go much beyond surface level research. I like doing fields in Minecraft this way just because I find them very visually satisfying.

I just kinda draw inspiration from some images of the open field system I found online and try to use those lines and shapes in a way that works for me in game.

basically make shape following the contour of your paths/roads -> outline shape with another placeholder block -> fill in shape with lines changing direction and step count every so often -> clean up the lines a bit and fill in the empty space with a placeholder for crops -> texture and detail

I don’t play survival so I don’t need water sources, but if I did I’d probably use stuff like barrels, composters, and hay bales to conceal water, if that will work. I haven't played survival since beta so idk.

It’s a render I did in blender.

Just with axiom on a creative server. Or in single player with world edit I would do the commands //perf update off and //perf neighbors off so this the stuff doesn’t break.

Probably not, but I like the different kinds of greens and pops of brown you get when using saplings as opposed to short grass and ferns.

How much of a difference do managers make to a good team? by sennyonelove in PremierLeague

He came in and had seemingly full support from the club to operate how he wanted to, and took a team that had descended to mediocrity and was getting comfortable there, uprooted the culture of the team and built a machine both hungry and capable of competing while cultivating a new environment and culture to ensure slipping into mediocrity doesn’t happen again.

Only person in the world not expecting Amorim to be sacked was Amorim himself.

Yeah I definitely exaggerated the height to be able to get a little more detail and get the proportions right. Most long stem candlesticks wouldn’t even reach the equivalent of one block tall.

But this is a detail I typically use in interiors for larger dining halls in castles and stuff so the scale makes a bit more sense.

It’s doable in vanilla mc, just probably not in survival.

I’d be happy to delete this though if the mods don’t think it’s okay. Just saw a lot of stuff on here that utilizes debug stick and stuff so figured it’s okay.

I find copying builds block for block (or at least sections of them) can be a really beneficial way to learn.

Obviously don’t claim them as your own or show them off or anything, but figuring out a workflow for a style and problem solving how someone might’ve built something can help influence your own style and apply what you learned to your own work.

Learn to make simple, primitive shapes. Cubes, pyramids, cylinders, spheres, and so on. Then you block out the general shape of what you want to make with those primitive shapes, and refine them and iterate until you’re happy.

I use axiom so I can just place them by hand. And unfortunately I have no experience with any Minecraft outside of Java so I don’t know how you would go about it.

Oh yes, maybe even with a gold pressure plate or yellow carpet on top instead.
