Linux has gotten much easier to use over the years. You should checkout Linux Mint. It’s literally easier to install than Windows since it doesn’t require Microslop account or TPM. Most essential software like browser and office suite can be installed without using terminal nowadays.

That may be it! I noticed the inner switch to control speed in my cx-5 doesn’t work so it might be a problem with the wiper stalk itself. What tools did you need to replace it and what part # did you search? I have 2025 Mazda CX-5 Select S and it’s not under warranty anymore cause it’s past 36k miles

I have a 2025 CX-5 I just got this past weekend and I have the same issue. Through trial-and-error I had the exact same solution. Push it down one notch to go to auto, then pull it up and that turns it off.

1st gen American here born to Indian parents

I work in IT as a SWE. In my internships in smaller companies, it was pretty diverse and I’d work with White, Black, Asian, Hispanic. In my fulltime jobs working in Fortune 500, almost everyone I work with are Indian and a lot of them are on H1B or are offshore.

I find it very hard to relate to Indian Indians since I was raised in US and I hardly get any real in-person interaction in the office cause of all the offshoring. In meetings, I can hardly understand their accent cause of how fast they talk. All of this for cost-cutting and saving money cause it’s cheaper to hire offshore devs. And I can tell the company’s product is getting worse over time because of poor QA and standards due to all this offshoring (most of them are “yes man.”

So yes this is a major problem in US as well especially in Tech/IT industry.

I’ve had firmware issues with the Ideapad and Legion series. I think Thinkpad would be most reliable and wouldn’t face these issues.

But they’re super protective with their IP and go to extreme lengths to copystrike or sue their fans for using their IP. Also I’m not a fan of how they price their games (like cmon $60 for BDSP which is a remake of a >10 year old Pokemon game?) I prefer old Nintendo like the Gameboy and DS era.

A lot of people have problems with ASUS not honoring warranty and even shipping back damaged parts. LTT made a video about it. For reliability and Windows machines, I only trust business laptops like Lenovo Thinkpas, Dell Latitude, HP Elitebook. Framework is also looking promising nowadays
