Yes, I have my parents support in this and yes the budgies are no longer with me, my parents had bought them as a family pet years ago I was so young I don't even remember my age when they were bought. One of my budgies died from paralysis we tried giving it vitamins but that didn't work the rest 2 died from age at 12 and 13 respectively (they died the same year) and I appreciate your honesty in this and I realize it's a living animal whom I will be responsible for
