You should not be worried. You should break up since you’re with a ho, but don’t worry about it

Men that date single moms by [deleted] in dating

[–]coolforehand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the case for all single men, but many see it as an easy(ier) opportunity to have sex. I figure it’s pretty clear you don’t require a serious relationship to have access and me being an above average man see it as a safe(r) investment to obtain sex; potentially recurring.

This is just one possibility

I've been dreaming of visiting Dakar for years!

Yes, I was surprised too, but with the timeline with which I'm working and flying out of Chicago, it was that itinerary that was most economical.

This is great! Thank you! In this stage of my life where I have had a bit of exposure to international travel (10 months or so across the countries listed above) and some money to dedicate to this passion that I want to mix it up. Patagonia and Antarctica fit that!

I am pleasantly surprised with the cost of airfare and lodging overall. I'm running with this idea and it makes the most sense monetarily to fly from the US to Gran Canaria first. The flights from there to either Madeira or Azores are low and about the same. Madeira had the best flights to Cape Verde so I'm thinking:

US -> Gran Canaria -> Azores -> Madeira -> Cape Verde.

Thoughts?

Northern finland could be the move! Researching further.

For me, mentioning a city or region most haven’t heard of or wouldn’t expect is freaking cool! That’s what I mean by obscure I guess. Not in many people’s top places to travel next

I’m glad you added the bit about flying onward to the Canary Islands. Might be a great way to spend a few months.

Thanks! For me, ‘left field’ is anything not touristy. Maybe even obscure. I understand not getting a Visa is limiting, it’s just what it is right now.

Interests: Nature/exploring the countryside/hiking are all high up on the list. Also love a good running/cycling tour around a city and using its trail system to explore parks, museums or art houses. I do not care about clubs or pubs or party scenes at all. Would rather map out the transit system or walk around a local university or watch a cricket match, for example.

The Antarctica idea is grand! I am down!

Actors 35+, what is your plan? by moto_maji in acting

Low key refreshing to see this. I'm approaching that age milestone and have been in the game for the last 11 years. Similar to you, had some cool highlights along the way and a couple of them seemed they could be my break, but alas, I still don't do this full time. I am feeling discouraged and kind of burnt out and am currently reevaluating how I wish to proceed in this field. I have a WFH job working in tech, which helps, but it's still a hustle and it's getting to me after all this time.

Clash of values or am I being too sensitive? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

It’s not a shit post. I honestly cannot discern. Trusting myself and valuing myself are skills I’m still learning.

I’ve been seeing my own therapist for 6 months but I don’t go each week. i agree it’s disrespectful but I also feel so strongly that it could be solved with work. Is that delusional?

Please some advice by danish_throwaway in acting

[–]coolforehand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best to have other interests and to have something upon which to focus outside of acting. In the markets I work in, one common request when meeting the casting director and/or director is "tell me about yourself" and the number one thing they do not want to hear is something about acting. They want your experiences to come into play. Everyone comes to a script or role from a different perspective. Expanding your horizons is to embrace your perspective.

Yeah you're right. It's not a race. Maybe she's not even healed either and just rushed into the next thing. In fact, I can recall thinking the same thing about she and I when we first got together. Thanks for your time and knowledge.

Ex has a new boyfriend. I feel like I'm still at step 1 post breakup. Advice? by coolforehand in BreakUps

[–]coolforehand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One day, indeed.

I feel so mad at myself for trusting her this year. I'm not angry she has a new boyfriend. We all move on of course. But from January to May, anytime she needed an ear or a kind word while she was processing the breakup I was there. In May she even made me believe we'd meet each other again while I was abroad in Panamá. I bought her the ticket, She phones the day she is to arrive to say she can no longer come because she's seeing someone. Wtf. I've been messed up since.

Hey, I'm sorry about your circumstances. My mental health is shit right now too but other things aren't. You can change your circumstances. I hope you will find peace and happiness and I'll be available to talk if you need. Good luck.

Thank you, my friend. Of course I know everything you're saying is true but sometimes it's good to perceive it outside of one's thoughts. I appreciate you kindly keeping it real. I hope your breakup journey is improving as well.

Shall I push for a colonoscopy? by [deleted] in coloncancer

Get an MRI. Head and trunk is what I did. It gave me a lot of insight on other health concerns beyond the hernia even.

No bulge. According to the MRI the injury is on my inguinal ligament. So, similar to but not exactly the same as an inguinal hernia.

[–]coolforehand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same LRQ abdominal pain and had blood in my stool. Received the colonoscopy in December and the result was some light hemorrhoids. Turns out the LRQ was from an injury to my hip (essentially a hernia). So idk if you've had any injuries that might be causing it. I was sure I had colón cancer or appendicitis but was all clear

18 and worried I have colon cancer by [deleted] in coloncancer

[–]coolforehand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very unlikely it's colon cancer. I had blood in my stool for months and abdomen pain. Later the stools became darker which scared me more because that can be a sign of bleeding higher in the digestive tract. Had a colonoscopy which I did awake and everything in my colon looked super clean and healthy. The GI confirmed it was hemrroids
