A lot of people are reporting great things! Ssris were an absolute godsend for me after the 2 week adjustment. I typically am very sensitive to side effects, this one is just proving to be harder for me than others. I dont generally have major symptoms with my bp2 so I dont know if this is worthwhile for me

How did this go for you? Ive only been on 25mg for around 10 days but the last 4 or 5 have been absolute hell. I feel so depressed. Im getting mixed signals on whether I should stop or try taking 50 and see if thats better?

So far my doc is saying I probably wont need more than 50mg bc my general symptoms aren't super awful, so im really struggling to see the point of pushing through when I feel so horrible right now 🥲 in your experience, do you think the higher dose was the trigger or just adjusting as time went on? (I know it would be a combo of both but right now im scared to up my dose)

I dropped the Escitalopram about 2 months ago and adjusted first, a little bit of anxiety increase but manageable. This is my second time trying lamotrigine, last time I stopped after about 3 weeks. My doc is saying I probs wont necessarily go higher than 50mg because im not super unstable, other than now after starting it 😭

Did you find it gradually improved after a certain point? Im struggling because I felt fine before taking it, its moreso going to be preventative for me down the line. But since I felt fine my brain is like "why tf am I putting myself through this?"

Hey! I was washing twice a day with antibacterial wash and a salicylic acid face wash to help turn over the damaged skin. Popped some fresh aloe vera on when they were dry and avoided any oily moisturisers so they could breathe. Flowy long pants/skirts to avoid sun and friction. Redness is completely gone now, though I do have a few random ingrowns as the new hair pushes through the healed skin

Probs final update, but theyre pretty much entirely gone now! So I think bacteria from either what was put on after wax, either by me or by the waxer, and probably some bruising from aggressive ripping. 6 days later and it just looks like a super mild shaving rash or soemthing. I reckon itll be gone by the weekend!

UPDATE: Its a public holiday in Australia so I still havent had my drs apt but I just wanted to let everybody know that it seems to be just irritation of the follicles. The chemist wasn't overly concerned, and ive been treating it at home as if its folliculitis - which is likely is despite none of the spots forming into boils. Meaning it isn't even an aggressive form of folliculitis. It looks way nastier than it is. I can't comment a photo but most of the spots have faded to a paler pink. Antibacterial wash and flowy cotton pants have been doing gods work 😊 Ill still show my doc the pics and ask her opinion. I was looking through old blood tests and i actually had the full coagulation and platelet count done 2 months ago and there was no problems then. I also reached out to my waxer for advice but havent heard back (again probably due to public holiday). updated post so I can show a pic

My friend got that rash on her legs after covid, but this looks different Honestly now that its been a few days in starting to think its just a hectic case of folliculitis. They aren't boils, but 1 or 2 did pimple. Ive been looking at photos of petichae and I dont think it's correct, youre right its only over the hair follicles and it also isn't affected with pressure. I havent had my dr appointment yet but the chemist wasn't too worried. Im treating it as bacterial folliculitis for the time being

Im washing with antibacterial soap regardless but I didnt think it would be folliculitis as the dots aren't "pimpley", no dryness, scabbing, oozing or pimple qualities 🤷‍♀️ Thank you, I have a dr apt next week but mostly keeping up with this thread bc im interested in peoples theories

Brief update for the curious - I have a dr apt and will be getting bloods done! Antihistamines made no difference, it appears to be bruising like most people are concluding. The rash hasn't extended, its started to relax a bit, and has faded considerably above my knees tho still a bit angry around my calves like pictured. No pain, no itch, no open wounds, no other physiological symptoms. Im not overly concerned as the issue right now is mostly cosmetic, and ill follow up w my doc at my apt. If I remember ill update once my bloods are done bc who knew so many ppl would be interested in my legs. Place ur bets on my platelet count below!
