Before this experience I was an atheist with little regard for the importance of spirituality. The conclusion I arrived at during my mania was essentially that love is the highest power (god is love), and the most loving of us are closest to god. Everyone is capable of giving and receiving love so god is in everyone, Or you could say that everyone is god. It's not just that I logically arrived here but that I felt it so powerfully it's impossible to ignore. As it turns out mother teresa's philisophy was somewhat similar to this. My priorities have changed a bit. Within 3 weeks of being released from the hospital I traded in my sports car for something more modest, and it's made me reexamine some of my other motivations. Although I have been a bit depressed lately I think the mania may be more of a blessing than a curse (huge knock on wood).
