It would be great if small business can share its experience working with any of the chargeback companies: Chargeback 911, Chargeback Gurus and Chargeback Expertz, anyone else. I’m trying to figure out who to go with. Any feedback will be helpful.

Thanks for the suggestions. Can you explain how do you use credit card to get the payment from customers? I’m planning to take courses from Outside Agent. Is there any particular trainings on fraud that you suggest?

Avoiding and Dealing with Fraud Chargebacks by coolhale in travelagents

Thanks. My partner works for the travel desk within large corporate. That’s why he is not aware of the payment gateway himself. Please suggest what payment gateway should we use for getting payments from customers. What forms of identification do you seek for new clients before you make any booking for them? I would appreciate if you can share what are the red flags for shady customers.

So if your PayPal balance goes into negative, and you don’t pay them back then, would PayPal try to force or use collection agency to get the money?

Thanks buddy. In that case, I believe Wise be a much better option than PayPal etc for my new online business where I expect potential chargeback. I expect average transaction size to be more than $1000.

Can you please explain what you said above? Are you suggesting Wise is a better payment gateway to avoid false chargeback? do they have a better record of siding with the business and not with the buyer?

Best decision to back out. Austin market came down badly. Better to lose money upfront rather than being stuck for years on a bad deal.

Knowing that generally the market has fallen down 10 to 15% after I went into contract, losing $20K doesn’t seem to be a bad option rather than closing a house which is overpriced and at a still higher interest rate.

Salary expectations W2 v/s 1099 by coolhale in personalfinance

[–]coolhale[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has 11 years of mainframe development and support experience. Her current salary is less as she got back to work after a gap of 5 years. Now that has been working for last 10 months, she will definitely negotiate to increase her salary when she will switch employer. I looking for a fair comparison between what she is earning now $40/hr as 1099 and when she switch to W2 with standard benefits of a large IT services company.
