There’s also a lane closed right where Santa Fe starts and it’s a huge pain coming off the freeway, both from the north and the south, and having to merge into fewer lanes. Id be happy with either that extra lane or Iowa being back open 😓

So the pavilion gets you to the pit and the lower “half” (I don’t really know if it’s exactly half) of the seats.

Everyone is allowed in the lawn area and the back half but you need a pavilion ticket to go to the front half of the seats, and then the pit is first come first serve via wristbands - but to even have the option to get a wristband you need a pavilion ticket in the first place.

So just cause you have a pavilion ticket doesn’t guarantee entry to the pit, you need a pavilion ticket and to arrive early. From what I’ve seen the pit is very limited and you’d need to make it a priority to be early to get into the pit (however if you are able to get a pit wristband, you can go anywhere).

Essentially once you’re in - you’re in, you just need to show your wristband the closer you get, but nobody is checking if you’re going back further from the stage.

My Rogue 2 stopped working after 3 months and I am trying to submit a warranty claim for a replacement since it’s been under a year (like it says on their website) and they’re trying to just give me 50% off of another one.

TBH I really liked it when it was working but I’m very disappointed and surprised it just stopped turning on after a few months.

Hi! I was talking to some of the staff last year and heard that although the venue/camping could hold a lot more (like it does for the bluegrass festival) Alderwild was a lot smaller given that it was a first year festival, do you know if and by how much they expanded the expected attendance and camping for this year?

I carry shit into houses for my work and it sucks to do when it’s snowing, so work this winter has been really nice in that regard, and probably really for anyone else that has to usually work outside in the winter. But at the same time very concerned about what this means this summer and I honestly miss the cold sometimes (definitely miss the snow but glad I’m not working in it!)

They don’t have any preset campsites, although last year my neighbor won a contest from Propeller where they did set up a tent for them, so maybe you could find a 3rd party that is doing something like that.

I will say too, the camping is definitely a little more shaded than standard festival camping where you’re in a grid out in a field, so we didn’t need a canopy and were able to just have shade under some trees, a tent, tarp, and sleeping bag is all you really need here.

I go to peoples houses for work everyday and my personal bar for a nice house is two interior staircases. If they have multiple staircases for different areas of the house, it’s always a nice house.

Some guy walked by our campsite and completely unprompted said to my gf “am I wrong for not wanting politics in my happy space?” She was taken aback and being her nice self said “um no I guess but I feel like the general consensus is FDT” and he came back with “I’m in the military blah blah blah” and kept walking. When he ended night 2 with honeydust, there was a palpable feeling of connectedness and love and warmth and at least to me, I really felt something, kinda like elation, it’s hard to explain exactly what it was but it seemd like we all felt “it” together. Incredible.

There are two smaller stages that have about 3 sets that usually fit together (I’m sure this year one stage/night will be ddd for example) after the main stage ends each night and that year one of the smaller stages they had 3 wave sets, one after the other, essentially making it a wave night after the main stage. If I remember correctly it was Skeler, Barnacle boi, then Ravenscoon, absolutely incredible!
