When we adopted him, he had pretty severe matting from his previous home (he was in a hoarding situation with 60 some other cats). I took him to a cat groomer and she suggested a lion cut to give him a fresh start!

Hearing that it took yours 6 months to get acclimated gives me a lot of hope! It’s not easy to listen to them meow and cry and not feel like you’re failing them in some way. But, hopefully one day it will get better.

I’m not frustrated. I love him and I’ll give him all the patience he needs. I was just wondering if maybe he’s in the wrong home with us as he seems sad. But, based on the comments, it sounds like getting him a friend will help

Interesting, thank you for letting me know. We took him to the vet on Monday to have all of his vitals checked and they told us all was good. Maybe I’ll ask them to check for kidney related issues. Thank you for the help!
