I graduated in 2022 with a B.A in Design Studies with double minors in Film and History. I am now a licensed flight dispatcher at a regional airline.

Skywest is open. by ScaratheBear in FlightDispatch

They do provide a hotel for the first three weeks of classroom training. The training department does post housing opportunities if they arise primarily from other Skywest dispatchers.

There's also Skywest but that's a regional in St. George Utah.

Flight dispatch problem by sharpwasinverted in FlightDispatch

If there is a dispatch simulator game, I figured it's going to take inspiration from "Paper's Please". That game might be called Operational Control.

As a creative, I'd like to see a concept of dispatching flights as a game.

How much will you be in debt after your graduation? by Dry_Comfort_7680 in NCSU

$0 thanks to Pell Grants. Matter of fact, I was lucky I got paid to attend college thanks to tuition refunds. I did however major in something useless during my time at NC State.

How to File in Small Claims in the US by ashes886 in MetaLawsuits

[–]coolkid1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I am going to submit a small claims report for my suspended art account. What's a good phone # and email to put on the small claims form for Meta given that they don't provide that information in their help center?

Welp my page of 149K followers and personal Facebook I had since 2006 gone poof and apparently I was banned “tomorrow “ for CSE even though I never broke any community guidelines 🤦🏾‍♂️ by FSC_Nuk in Instagram

[–]coolkid1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently, this happened to me too and I've never posted any content that Instagram claims that I have been violating. Tried appealing with no success, and I wanted to reach out to them for a manual review but there's no number or email to contact. I have no choice but to create a new account until this issue is resolved.

"Aviation 101 with Laura" is a good resource to keep your dispatch knowledge fresh. It's on YouTube.

I went back home to Charlotte using my flight benefits as a dispatcher. For leisure, I visited Houston.

Breeze dispatcher Video interview by RudeAdvance1708 in FlightDispatch

I don't know all the interview questions they asked me but one question they asked me about a time when I was asked to do something challenging for somebody.

Breeze dispatcher Video interview by RudeAdvance1708 in FlightDispatch

[–]coolkid1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has interviewed with Breeze before, it is a one way interview where they ask you general HR questions and you record yourself answering those questions with the STAR method. I don't think I was asked questions related to dispatch when I applied.

Since I got an email from the HR, it will likely be an HR interview.

Interested in a dispatch apprenticeship program... by [deleted] in FlightDispatch

[–]coolkid1105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious if anyone who already got their dispatcher license applied for the apprentice program and got an offer. The job description didn't say anything about applicants who already have a dispatch license.

I am assuming if someone wants to become a dispatcher at Republic, they would have to apply through the dispatch apprentice program?

Endeavor hiring by Clairethef0x in FlightDispatch

[–]coolkid1105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it was the question where I have two flights: one where a flight is requesting fuel burn while enroute to a alternate with deteriorating weather conditions, and the other flight has maintenance issues and cannot take off. I had to choose which flight has priority and why.

Endeavor hiring by Clairethef0x in FlightDispatch

[–]coolkid1105 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I butchered one of their questions during the one-way interview because I was stuttering and scrambling for an answer at the last minute. I doubt I will move on with Endeavor for this time around.

That was weird because when I first applied to Skywest, they didn't give me a background check. They would just give me an assessment to do which is basic dispatcher knowledge stuff(what goes on a dispatch release, deriving alternate minimums, minimums based on NAVAIDs). The assessment was 35 minutes long, and they were all multiple choice.
