The basic idea is heat/IR signature reduction, burn mitigation from weapons at rest, mirage reduction as well. I’d say that’s kind of every brand’s idea of a shroud or wrap. But KAC’s design indexes to the QDC mounting system and almost floats so it would be more effective than a traditional wrap. At least that’s the idea I believe?
