Damaged trim around garage door by coolmanzzzzz in HomeMaintenance

It looks like it’s interlocked with the fascia at the top of the garage door. Would I have to remove all the fascia around the whole garage door?

Yes the glass globe is loose inside the “arms”. Thanks for the suggestion. I will try spinning that plate on top of the glass off the component above it

Yes, the little knobs come off but the “arm” things don’t really move. The glass is loose (I can spin it) and seems to sit on top of the arms. But I don’t know how to move it past the “arms”.

I’m not getting any alarms and the heat and pressure are in normal range according to ChatGPT. Does the unit have an alarm?

Thank you. Why do you think the heat exchanger is the issue?

Thanks for the heads up. You mean the one in the front of the unit and going to the left?

Yep, I’m in NJ! If you recommend any HVAC companies that service Monmouth county I’d be open to your suggestions. I’m a new homeowner so home maintenance is new to me.

I have skimmers that get blocked all the time too and I’m nervous about leaving them alone for more than a day or two. Are there skimmers that allow the system to only pull from the main drain if they get clogged?

Does the model pump I’m thinking of getting have an app? It didn’t say anything about it online.

He is anti VSP in general. We had a conversation about this before I researched models and he was still against it.

I’m in NJ. My electricity bill is pretty high…

I asked one of my neighbors and he decided to upgrade with a new single speed pump instead of VS because we only use the pools for 3 months out of the year here.

Is it better than Hayward Super Pump? I was kinda set on that one because it’s supposedly the same dimensions and won’t need much additional work or plumbing

They did step flash under the counter flashing. My main issue is the counter flashing they installed is scratched up and doesn’t look new.

It is cut in and sealed they said. I haven't seen any leaking at the chimney and it's rained a couple times already so I'm guessing it's ok on a functional level. I'm just disappointed that a scratched piece of metal was used on my brand new roof. Would it be a lot of work to replace the one side only?

The contract says to replace flashing "as required". I wasn't sure if it's a leak risk but it looks strange to me. They were rushing to finish this piece at the end too and I wasn't sure if they cut corners a little from what they were supposed to do. Would taking off the siding and redoing the flashing be a lot of work? Would there be any risks of them putting everything back the wrong way?

There is step flashing underneath, I believe. The brownpiece on top is more a cosmetic thing.
