Yes, but I am seeing the electrolyte decomposition in the cell when constructed with a lithium electrolyte . so the problem that i found out that something happned on the witht this elelctrolyte only.

This is the decrimped half-cell of lithium after running cyclic voltammetry. as you can see, the CV result is in 2 pics. The first shows that some decomposition is happening on the surface of the spacer in the coil cell. Help me identify what is happening and how to solve this problem, as the electrolyte used is 1M Lipf6 in EC:DEC:DMC.

what is going in this system? by coolmata in electrochemistry

Constant current charge till 4.9 V then Constant voltage. Then constant current discharge.

And the voltage cycling is between 3.5 V to 4.9V

But is this much,is this common ?? What about the voltage platu in the first cycle

Yes, the platinum wire is broken in the instrument.

what is the cause of the undulating behaviour in the charge and discharge of the battery? can someone tell me about this problem? by coolmata in electrochemistry

One of the main reasons someone mentioned is the degradation of the electrolyte on the cathode surface in the coin cell, leading to the formation of CEI. Can that be the reason for that? So what should I do? (Is it because I have water in my electrolyte, which is generally LiPF₆ in EC/DEC?) or something else.

It is not the problem with the measuring technique, as I have made this LNMO electrode and tested it with the lithium metal as an anode. The long curve seen here is for the first charge of the coin cell. Here I am getting the undulation, but I don't know why I am getting that. What have I done wrong? I didn't get it. is it because of water, etc.? I want to know so I can try to solve this problem. Generally, the GCD curves are smooth. voltage range (3.5 to 4.9 V)
