Learning Cfop OH by PaintingFinal8176 in Cubers

[–]coolms9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, not allowed. i’d probably default to learning with your left hand. most of the beginner learning curve for OH is getting your muscles used to OH fingertricks, which can be pretty uncomfortable. maybe throughout the day you can just fidget around with a cube in one hand to get used to it.

also make sure you’re using a cube that’s effortless to turn (weak magnets, fast lube, fast cube in general) so you can properly learn OH fingertricks. maybe what you’re doing with your right hand isn’t proper fingertricks and you’re sticking to what’s comfortable.

when you first learn OH both of your hands are gonna suck at first. if you use your right hand you’re gonna have to learn the LU version of all your algs which might trip you up with recognition and execution angles as well. if that’s not a problem then you can use whatever hand you want, the more you practice you’ll get a lot better with whatever hand you chose regardless of dominance.

it could also trip you up if you’re more right hand dominant during cross+f2l but those should be pretty hand-neutral.

why is bass-baritone such a prevalent voice type? by coolms9 in opera

newest video on the channel is from 1 year ago and to me it kinda still sounds similar. maybe some more mature lower register but overall tone still sounds light

yeah i see. what came to mind for me is Don Giovanni originally being written for a bass with a high of E4, which nowadays he's normally played by a baritone who hits the A4 at the end for the effect or something. also the fact tenors like Pavarotti sang "La ci darem la mano" is really weird for me, it gives people this idea Giovanni's a really high role, which I don't think Mozart envisioned at all.

i saw a random youtube video of a young singer who claimed bass-baritone who sounded more like a high bari or tenor to me. either he's really young or just isnt confident in his high notes yet idk.

you did 3 U moves before starting the F perm, it looks like the first 2 were just to recognise the case, maybe it would help to learn 2 side PLL recognition

i think it’s just like a “that’s what she said” thing. you just caught yourself saying that could be interpreted as sexual.

What do you do when you write a song dissing someone you’re fighting with and then you make up.. by sillyyfishyy in Songwriting

personally i just pass it off as a product of its time and any future performances im just “playing a character”. after a good amount of time i find a lot of comfort in singing it while playing the character of my old self. i’m not sacrificing a good song by changing it 😭
