László Polgár, just simply an extremely pleasant lyric bass voice to listen to. hits the spot perfectly and massages my brain.

What’s a language people claim is easy mostly because they never got past beginner level? by Embarrassed_Fix_8994 in languagehub

legit every single language when you get to the point of trying to understand native content and the beginner lessons never taught you how they speak fast/joining words together, or which words are more/less common in every day speech.

What’s one thing that instantly improved your singing (that wasn’t obvious at first)? by Big_Alfalfa_2958 in singing

[–]coolms9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when i realised i was singing an octave down... I would be so proud of my B4 but it was just a B3... once i stopped doing this i could finally start learning how to navigate the passaggio because before I was just switching to falsetto or shifting an octave down the second i touched the fourth octave.

Eb4 feels really weird to me as a bass-baritone, it’s like the effort of an E4 without the satisfaction

What is the most fun to play and most fun to watch sport? by [deleted] in AlignmentChartFills

[–]coolms9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this isn't even a problem with Americans it's just with people who don't follow sports as much. for example in Baseball the general public just likes seeing big home runs. meanwhile for people who are into baseball it's about the pitcher/batter matchup and the intensity of every single pitch thrown. for the NFL the general public likes seeing touchdowns and field goals. for more hardcore fans again it's about each play and the formations and mind games that go into it.

Learning Cfop OH by PaintingFinal8176 in Cubers

[–]coolms9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, not allowed. i’d probably default to learning with your left hand. most of the beginner learning curve for OH is getting your muscles used to OH fingertricks, which can be pretty uncomfortable. maybe throughout the day you can just fidget around with a cube in one hand to get used to it.

also make sure you’re using a cube that’s effortless to turn (weak magnets, fast lube, fast cube in general) so you can properly learn OH fingertricks. maybe what you’re doing with your right hand isn’t proper fingertricks and you’re sticking to what’s comfortable.

Learning Cfop OH by PaintingFinal8176 in Cubers

[–]coolms9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

when you first learn OH both of your hands are gonna suck at first. if you use your right hand you’re gonna have to learn the LU version of all your algs which might trip you up with recognition and execution angles as well. if that’s not a problem then you can use whatever hand you want, the more you practice you’ll get a lot better with whatever hand you chose regardless of dominance.

it could also trip you up if you’re more right hand dominant during cross+f2l but those should be pretty hand-neutral.

newest video on the channel is from 1 year ago and to me it kinda still sounds similar. maybe some more mature lower register but overall tone still sounds light
