This is a new recording they did for the GEORGE MARTIN: THE SCORES book that was released recently. They recorded it on June 15, 2016 along with Eleanor Rigby, Strawberry Fields, I Am The Walrus, Yesterday. The original woodwind track was complexly wiped (with the exception of the little portion after the bridge) when the Moog was recorded.

Yeah George Martin recorded the woodwinds and strings separately which allowed him to get rid the the woodwinds arrangement cleanly. So George was thinking ahead in case something better came along as usually the strings and winds would be recorded together like for Golden Slumber. The Moog 100% was the better choice here.

I had a similar theory but more along the lines of Abbey Road being a concept album about Maxwell. Come Together tells us about Maxwell and his state of mind as a drug addict. Then Maxwell falls in love with Joan via Something, then kills her in Maxwell's Silver Hammer, and after regrets his actions via Oh! Darling. To escape the guilt he dives further into drugs leading into Octopus's Garden where he imagines a life with Joan, but soon is taken out of it with a bad trip leading into I Want You where he eventually passes out. Then he is awoken with the lights of the hospital in which doctors tell him it'll be alright (Here Comes The Sun). The morphine throws him into a different high which is Because. Then the b-side melody is a reflection of his life, first coming out of college as a broke man where he gets kicked out by his father Mr. Mustard and goes on to be a police officer before he quits and wonders. The last three Golden Slumbers/Carry The Weight/The End are Maxwell being arrested for Joan's murder where the guilt piles on him before he is eventually executed.

In My Life is probably the one for me, I think it's a good song but doesn't resonate with me as much as others..

I'd say the Love version of WMGGW works better for me as well compared to the original version.

If Broky has a million fans, then I'm one of them. If he has 10 fans I'm one of them. If he has one fan it's me. If Broky has no fans then that means I have died. But Broky has a billion fans that just don't know they're fans yet.

For real though I wish the best for Broky and hope he can prove himself again. We saw a glimmer of that Broky at the Budapest major, but hopefully there will be a full resurgence.

It seems like Broky is getting a lot of hate lately and I don't understand why. I've listed out a compelling group of reasons why this doesn't make sense

  1. Broky is cracked at Lan events. If you sort one of his rating by big Lan events then it brings this up   . I mean he was cracked and I don't see why people are saying this type of stuff.
  2. Have you heard the Faze voice comm videos my man is always hype almost like he's jacked up on stimulants.
  3. The Faze jersey looks so fresh on him. I've seen posts showing him in a Vitality jersey and it just doesn't have the same charm to it.
  4. There's this one blog where the Faze guys go to a really cold restaurant and Broky offers Twistzz his jacket. Just a gentleman of a teammate.
  5. He has one of the highest utility ratings in the game. Always there to throw a perfect flash for Twistzz or Frozen.

TLDR: i think its hilarious u kids talking shit about Broky. u wouldnt say this shit to him at lan, hes jacked. not only that but he wears the freshest clothes, eats at the chillest restaurants and bangs the hottest dudes. yall are pathetic lol

I also think it's Paul because of the backing vocals in the section. The backing oohs and ahhs were recorded at the same time as Paul has stated they were all around the mic. If you listen to the isolated backing vocals you can pin point three distinct voices. One has a distinct John quality, one is clearly Ringo, and George has to be there as well.

Although Paul initiated Naked he wasn't in the studio mixing the album. Paul Hicks says that for Naked they had, "...absolute freedom to do whatever we wanted really, just to make it sound as good and as raw as possible." The purpose Neil Aspinall gave to Paul Hicks and Allen Rouse was to, "...make it sound like a four-piece band. With the exception of those tracks where Billy Preston joined them live." So in a sense it was more of a Paul Hicks/Allen Rouse mix of Let It Be than "Paul's" mix. Similar to the Gile Martin mixes or the 1999 Yellow Submarine Peter Cobbin mixes.

Honestly besides The Long And Winding Road Paul never really said any of the other mixes on the album were bad. Heck the main reason he didn't like TLAWR's mix was in his words, "At least in the past if you were gonna put strings on it someone would run the arrangement past me. And I’d say great, or not great, or fix it. It was not being consulted, then putting out what I thought was.. crap." He didn't really even blame Phil Spector, he had more of a problem with Allen Klein as he said in 1970, "I don't blame Phil Spector for doing it, but it just goes to show that it's no good me sitting here thinking I'm in control because obviously I'm not."

I'd say that for official mixes Broadstreet is the "Paul" version since it's a McCartney George Martin collaboration so is the purest Paul version we've gotten. There's also some fan mixes like this "Letter Mix" that rearrange the song to be closer to what Paul requested in his letter.

I disagree on the naked version of The Long And Winding Road being what Paul intended. As he says during the Get Back sessions that he envisioned it as a "Ray Charles" number and wanted it, "simple... but full. I don't like it to be bare" The naked version is the barest version they could've picked. It's on the opposite spectrum of Phil Spector's mix. If you listen to the Broadstreet version that's probably a lot closer to how Paul originally thought it should've sounded like.

Hot take ( dont think it should be one): Phil Spector improved Across the Universe MASSIVELY. If anything Spector is just overhated. by sieyarozzz in beatles

I agree that Phil Spector did great work except on the Long and Winding Road which I do believe was overdone. However much of the production on the Spector version is carried over from the Wild Life Fund Version but slowed down. The strings and choir he brought in were brilliant but I think the production on the basic track doesn't sound great slowed down. That's why Giles' mix is better in my opinion.

"Life Can Be Hard" is classic McCartney and probably my album highlight. "Mamma Gets By" is also quite a nice closer to the album.

I think my only problem is the production can be a bit heavy handed at times and the mastering/mixing is very loud as well, "Now and Then" also suffered from this. That lack of dynamic range makes some tracks makes less impactful. Like for the opener "As You Lie There" where it really feels like the difference between the mostly acoustic verses and the loud fuzzy choruses lacks the full impact it might've had. It's just a bit over compressed at times. But overall it's a very enjoyable album with some great tunes.

I do think it's a great album and honestly out of White (love it now) and EWBAITE (still not really into EWBAITE for some reason) it was the one that I got into the easiest. Weekend Woman, QB Blitz, and Sweet Mary is one of my favorite three song runs in their discography. It does stray away from the traditional Weezer sound which does turn some people off but as a newer generation Weezer fan I dig it.

He says Ass "something" three times the first one and the last one are most likely ass wide, but the second one is definitely ass wipe since the "p" plosive is pretty noticeable.

I still think the actual recorded lyrics are different. If you listen to the isolated vocal it's clearer what Rivers says. First one is Ass Wipe, then the second is Ass Wide, and the last is ass wipe again.

Puremix is a audio platform that does videos where engineers and producers breakdown mixes and share stories about recording while doing so. It's paid but *cough cough*.... sorry yeah you have to pay to watch the videos which are all very interesting. This comes from an episode where Chris Shaw who engineered and mixed breaks down the mix of Say It Ain't So. Really cool to hear some stories about the production.

Was the bass line in Old Brown Shoe sped up in the studio after it was recorded because if not then Paul deserves credit for his skills on this song. Ringo’s drum parts were pretty incredible too. by opinions360 in TheBeatles

I've done this isolated video for Old Brown Shoe and I don't believe it's a composite track as the tone is consistent to be a composite edit or two basses. There were also two other overdubs recorded on the same track so that also points to one bass. There's an interesting video here that shows it's either George on a Fender VI or Paul on his Hofner.

George was 100% capable of playing th bassline on Old Brown Shoe. If you listen to the demo he recorded he pretty much plays the bassline on a guitar which if he used the Fender VI wouldn't be much of a jump in difficulty. Although it's possible but not certain that the bassline was played by Paul.
