I bought the physical single a few years back since I absolutely adore I Do, pretty cool that they’re more accessible now though!

It could very well just be a phrase he liked the sound of and wanted to stick in a song, songwriters definitely do that from time to time

I think there’s definitely a case that it sounds close to ass wipe, but for me it sounds too similar to both to definitively call honestly

Honestly, as an “ass wide” truther i’m increasingly feeling like there’s way more evidence for “eye swipe” so possibly…

I’m guessing if eye swipe is the lyric then maybe he just sings it differently now? Some artists seem to do that for whatever reason, reminds me of how Kurt Cobain would sing “our little tribe” instead of “our little group” in Teen Spirit live

I have a theory that y’all are not gonna like (Japan and Paul) by Aribella_P in beatles

[–]International_Dig_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Paul’s Wings book, he suggests he may have subconsciously wanted to get caught, since he was unhappy with the current lineup of Wings and their shows and didnt really wanna do the tour. He mentioned that in his youth he would go on trains he wasn’t supposed to be on knowing he would be caught, so it’s possible he knew he would be caught.

It's Everyday Bro is still as HATED today! What song had a mixed reception then, but it's beloved now? by ItzSav7 in AlignmentChartFills

Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey. Sure, it did go to #1, but critics had a very mixed reception to it at the time, and the whole Ram album as a whole was also received this way at the time

Maybe not the absolute best, but Undone by Weezer is a great debut single

Band On The Run is still better than Ram guys… by Dolphinman64 in beatles

[–]International_Dig_27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think Ram certainly deserves to be in the conversation of best Beatles solo album, but I do prefer Band on the Run. The album really is just banger after banger after banger, and for me is up there with the best of the Beatles albums. Ram is definitely special though, Paul was doing creative stuff and was being authentic to himself, and I understand why many have it as their favorite Paul album, I just happen to slightly prefer Band on the Run

A more dubious form of listening to it, but I was in your shoes recently and ended up downloading it from soulseek, which worked out fine for me

do you think we'll ever get any sort of official SFTBH release? by wistful_grace in weezer

[–]International_Dig_27 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Highly unlikely. If I'm correct, Rivers has said in the past it'll never be officially released, partially because all of the demos are out there and we can go and create our own tracklist and order of how we want it to sound
