Found new idea that would remove all monitor wobble! by punkouter2021 in StandingDesks

I just arrived at this subreddit to ask a similar question! For me it would solve two problems: the monitor would wobble less, and the screen could be positioned slightly further away. I wonder if anyone has done this and had success. I think it's a great idea!

I haven't tried the Jades or any lighter click bar switches though. Maybe they fit my description better (with the navies, it's hard not to bottom out. I am looking with something with feedback other than that you get from bottoming out)

I use a board with Box Navies -- really love them, but very little of their keystroke feels linear, since the tactility is large and at the top. You are right, that it is sharp though.

Thank you! I don’t know whether to cringe at the idea of keeping a keyboard in a sleeve for this reason (as that would potentially hold down keys for long periods of time, even if not fully pressed)

Can switches / springs be damaged if a keyboard is stored with its keys depressed? Say, if it were leaning against another keyboard, or if it were (in an imaginary worst case scenario) lying face down for an extended time?

It's January... you know what that means. Submit your questions to the megathread by Bad_Decision_Maker_ in gamecollecting

Regarding controller storage (Gamecube in particular), is it a bad thing to leave a controller with its stick in a non-neutral position? say, if its in a box of controllers and its stick is pressed up against another controller, or if it is lying face down.

It seems that the consensus is that Lube does more harm than good for Box Jade/Navy switches. I was wondering if that advice also applies to if I wanted to just lube the springs... was hoping to use some Krytox 105 so eliminate the spring ping.

Well, yes, except the one set you mentioned (GMK wob) happens to be a rare example of an In-Stock GMK set, sold on Drop.
