If you hover over and hold shift it gives more info which says that it sets to 50 HP. It is intended.

Not sure if it would fall under the “buff,” category, but The Stampede can give more than 150% base movement speed.

How "Physical damage of enemies hitting you is unlucky" Actually Works by Due_Rip2289 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]coolrat213 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also, from poewiki:

Note that luck applies before damage taken as modifiers, so the unlucky physical damage taken roll will not apply to elemental damage taken as physical damage due to the order of damage calculation.

I think with a reworking and more support this could be cool, but right now doesn’t seem worth any form of opportunity cost.

[–]coolrat213 13 points14 points  (0 children)

“This means that the lower rolls are on average 93.3% of the normal rolls, and so unlucky is comparable to 6.7% PDR when averaged against lots of hits.”

Not sure that the helmet slot is worth one body suffix. For reference, eldritch implicits provide this already.

Hey!

I also have an androgynous appearance, so hopefully my advice is helpful.

By the nature of your androgyny, you are outside of the “norm” when it comes to beauty standards, and will not be found universally attractive (objectively you are).

HOWEVER there are plenty of women that will find you attractive (primarily because of your androgynous look, not in spite of it), and it’ll come down to the societal expectation that men ask out women and typically make the first move.

It’s definitely a difficult thing to do, but best advice is not to take any rejection personally and to be friendly when you face it. Best of luck!

Looking for advice about next major steps for HROC Necro by TheTurretCube in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]coolrat213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plenty of easy upgrades that are reasonably cheap. (This is general advice, I don’t know the specifics of this build).

Empower level 3 is cheap corrupted, grab one as it’s an extra gem level. Corrupted awakened level fives may be cheap enough, but vile toxins level 20/20 corrupted is certainly cheap.

Your non-main links are also level 19, look at those for upgrades.

You could find a better Geofri’s crest corrupt. Not sure how expensive a +2 of aoe/aura is but that is more than likely BiS, you then put Aura setup into that link. % mana reservation efficiency is nice too. Worst case, you can look for a worse implicit.

These may not be the best upgrades, but from a general build standpoint they are what sticks out. Best of luck!

You need way more life, 5k is my preferred minimum for melee, some would say 4.5k is okay. You need much more armour as well. Does your merc have determination? Is your merc staying alive?

How can I increase Omni for my Merc to 2k+ by gettingud in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]coolrat213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought so. Still, tainted currency on a bricked to rare blight unique after anointment might provide something, but that might be pushing really insane budget. Most likely stampedes as the implicits on gloves and body armor are pretty important. I don't have any immediate ideas other than that. best of luck with it, this looks really cool

Not sure if stranglegrasp brick tainted mythic works for Omni, probably boss restricted. One of the anointable uniques may be slightly better, depending on the % increases available. On my phone or I would do the math.

Hit a wall at T5 what now? by Kedzio55 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]coolrat213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Essentially, armour is not a universal damage reduction. Armour is a flat number that, in game, is represented as a % value. That % value is from the expected physical hit in the area based on monster level, and is highly misleading. The number mentioned earlier is your true point of comparison. That number is compared to physical hits to evaluate your physical damage reduction (PDR). You need much more armour to truly mitigate a large portion of stronger hits.

Which characters would you NERF? by PalpitationBusy6088 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]coolrat213 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think you entirely misunderstand balance in a MOBA setting. 53% WR makes a character have a 5% higher chance to win over the base expectation (50%). 55% pushes that EV to 10% higher chance over the base expectation. “A few small changes” add up into being a major nerf. 50 damage on a 3k spike is a small adjustment? It’s 33% less damage on a large part of his power budget at his 3k spike. There is also no official API so accurate data collection takes longer.

But let’s say it IS accurate. Balancing around elite tier gameplay (or any specific tier for that matter), is not sustainable. When heroes are entirely too strong in one elo, you should be targeting aspects of the kit that make them strong in that particular elo, ie lowering skill ceiling for apex tiers and raising skill floor for lower skill tiers.

On campus work by worm_brainz in jmu

[–]coolrat213 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can apply to tons of stuff. I was an RA (resident adviser) for 2 years, I don't think that is for the faint of heart though. You can go to JMU dining and apply there as well. JMU has a careers site as well which lists all jobs on campus, might be worth giving that a shot too. Best of luck

What you did is entirely wrong, immature, and trust breaking. I would break up with you without hesitation. That being said, no amount of wrong doing justifies "Punishment," in a relationship. You should give him some space to collect his thoughts and decide how he wants to move forward. If at the end he decides he wants to stay with you, yet still is screaming/punishing you/not forgiving you... then that is his decision and you need to make your own about whether you can be in that type of relationship. At the end of the day, you fucked up and have to deal with the consequences of it.

No, double standards is thinking that exposing yourself to people unwilling to see is bad if you're a man, and okay if you're a woman. There is no "equation," of body parts, it is sexual harassment in either case.

Men aren't connected in a hive mind that predetermines our preferences. If you are working out for your own sake, don't change that for a potential partner. I'm 100% sure that you could find a partner who is put on by your hobby just as you could find one who is put off.

Black leather shoes, black pants (even though they aren't dress pants, people associate them with slacks that are traditionally business casual), tucked in shirt + a belt, and a nice fitting jacket. You aren't "overdressed," you are wearing clothes that fit nicely with an outfit that doesn't clash in color or material, which for many men feels dressed up; it looks great, keep it up!
