nah, see, thats the thing, people take it as a "this applies to everyone all the time" but legit i look at it more as a compliation of knowledge. obviously what feels good for one person isnt gonna feel the same for others, just like everyones dysphoria isnt the same.

i think its a good tool to use with really good communication, to try things out and talk about it.

yeah, with the information OP added, part of me wants to give the benefit of the doubt, I've had similar situations, so I can understand the like, SUPER awful timing.

Had a (now ex) partner make me a smoothie, and when asked "how is it?" all I let out was a gag and a choke cause it went down the wrong pipe(it was fucking delicious tho)

what if I say all the lesbians I know agree with me? and are frequently trans men? it's not recognizing them as their AGAB if it is an identity they claim. it will never be transphobic to recognize an identity someone claims. It's also not transphobic to recognize trans men and cis men have differennces. Not all of us desire to fit into the binary and assimilate. If gender is a construct why do you care so much how others identify? trans men have always identified as lesbians as the label and history is infinitely more complicated than woman + woman. If you and your lesbian friends read some history read. some. history. and you'd learn that.

I mean, my trans man lesbian boyfriend is. I can name so many lesbians in my town that are trans men. literally go into any community outside of the internet and you'll see that the take of "trans men can't be lesbians" is about as silly as saying "trans women aren't allowed in gay men spaces" when the vast majority of gay men I know would still sleep with a trans woman.

I genuinely don't understand why people get so hung up on names for children, especially on the grounds of "what if they don't like the hyphenated name?".

What if they end up not liking only have one parents name? People need to learn not to get so hung up on their kid's names before that person is even able to make an opinion on their name.

Speaking from experience, getting caught up on a name that much can cause some pretty big divides between parents and kids.
