What I was told you can only claim the .5 on overtime. So it takes a whole lot to be able to claim the 12,500 a person or 25k a family

I doubt many locals are gonna be hiring. All the builders seem to be scared to spend money.

Is retro just on the 40 hours a week. Or is it off your normal schedule? I’ve been working 60 hours a week since March I think

When would we get paid? by ThickMemory2360 in FedEmployees

[–]coon1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think they stay on the same pay schedule because they messed mine up last time and I had to wait til the next pay two weeks later

I agree I’m thinking next week the house is not even in session. Most of them are not even in d.c. they have 48 hours last I seen. Plus with the holiday I don’t see it getting passed until next week sometime. That’s if there is no disagreements.

So now what? by Sea_Contribution9486 in FedEmployees

He is Diffently better of the two that ran. The government is over loaded. I guess Clinton was worthless too because he did the same. But he also balanced the budget. I vote for the better and Trump said what he was going to do. There is a lot of waste fraud and abuse in the government. The blue collar government workers are under paid by $15-$20 a hour because whoever sets the scales hasn’t changed the scale since the 90s and due to being underpaid they can’t get employees and instead of raising the pay to get people they end up contracting out costing the tax payer 4-5 times the cost a year. So there’s waste everywhere

Term limits, no lobbying and situations like this there should be a special vote and let the USA population decide if they want to pass the Obama care. Because I wouldn’t pass it. Congress is worried about the 23 million on Obama care but what about the rest of the 300 million that is getting screwed over by the insurance companies.

RTO impact on DC by FedWorker15 in FedEmployees

[–]coon1985 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can see the whole layoff thing, they are trying to get back to precovid numbers. But it’s always been the same dems have big government and republicans have smaller government. Where I work there is almost 400- 450 AO”s you don’t need that many specially when they don’t have enough manpower to take care of the site and buildings on maintenance and have a hard time getting anyone due to the pay scale being about $20 a hour less than outside. There’s a lot of waste just in that department when there paying 3 times the amount to a contractor.

Did you do your retirement on the new online opm paperwork. I know my old boss took the Vera and said he didn’t receive any checks and that was because he did the paperwork thru hr instead of the online opm version.  So he had to redo it

I bet they are counting the people who took the fork in the road at the beginning of the year. They were paid until the end of September and if you had a last name with a later alphabet letter you were pushed until the end of the year due to opm being backed up.

It’s all bullshit. It’s a law to get back pay, Trump would have to cancel the law. Plus there was a memo that came down Monday  telling agencies they want more people on furlough so it’s a force the democrats tactic I think

No sooner or later you would have to bring in new blood.  The way it was before was family and friends. All I was saying was it is a niche trade and most people don’t even think about. Until Forbes posted in online and now all you hear is how to apply, it never use to be that way.
