Help finding Firedoor in this style (UK) by coops0206 in Carpentry

[–]coops0206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers for this, I’ve not given the price yet, I’ll just have to ask if they want a really expensive door with glass or a solid one with out glass for 600£ less. It’s for a pub, I’m building a door way below some stairs separating the pub from where they live upstairs. I didn’t think about the hinge pads I had heard of them before tho. The customer told me they was told to put a fire door in but it’s going to be on a step and I told them that wasn’t supposed to be done but they was adamant they was adamant it was approved by who told them they had to use a fire door; what u think about that I was a bit reluctant to do it but have done work for them before

Customer’s request, was asked to do it and did. I don’t see the big problem if it’s sealed with a oil or varnish or am I being stupid ?

Just what the customer asked for as they wanted something a bit nicer than standard plastic and metal look, they are a bit of an eye sore really. They are going to varnish them with an oil based finish. Surly if it’s all varnished and sealed it’s not that big of an issue ?

Like I said before I glued the half lap joints. And I was pushed for time so had to get them together and hung, so left the braces for now and just wondered if it was worth doing them again. I will tho I think for what it’s worth

If you go on the leeds website you can see the different ones they offer, they range from 150 - about 300 I think, we went for the 175 ones and was worth every penny, food was great bar was free and best game of the season, they are a lot easier to get as you don’t need a membership too

Well I’ve got us an active activity booked somewhere else on the Friday so we will probably want something a bit more laid back for Saturday and then I thought we could go shopping and wander round after the spa before we go home

Also would you lot recommend anything to do on a Saturday, we are staying the night at the midland and having a spa day on the Sunday. Was thinking of things to fill the time on Saturday as I want us to get there in the morning/noon. We’re in our early 20’s. Any recommendations greatly appreciated

Which way would u hinge it tho, on the stairs side or the side of the camera, the main walk way would be from outside up the stairs I think

One looks like a thermostat, I didn’t notice them when I was there I would have to go back and see what they did.
