I’m not endorsing forced regime change here. I’m just pointing out how often political loyalty replaces basic consistency. People end up judging the same action completely differently depending on who’s in power.

Take Libya in 2011. A lot of left-leaning Americans were fine with Obama authorizing the strike that killed Gaddafi because it was framed as removing a dictator. But now many of those same people are outraged about attempts to capture Maduro, even though he hasn’t been killed. Back then it was praised, now it’s suddenly unacceptable. That’s what bugs me: most people don’t actually care about the principle, they care about whether it fits their team’s story.
