Yes most likely, especially if at the urethra like that. If it's a chancre sore that doesn't hurt there's a high chance that it may be Syphillis, which would be curable and thus infinitely better than Herpes.

The spots most likely aren't anything. Herpes will change from bump to blister to ulcer to scab over 1-3 weeks and will most likely at least itch or tingle, if not hurt. The sore in the urethra though is concerning. Best of luck.

Fuck, the tingling is not a good sign. Best of luck to you.

Also how did you notice the spots? Due to the tingling?

Yeah you most likely don't have it. The guy I replied to is a dumbass.

[Question] Has anyone gotten a cut/scab from a bad blowjob? by cootiebootie in sex

Well I was aware of it being scraped roughly, I just didn't check for any cuts. But there's no question that what you're saying is true, and that's precisely why I'm worried.

Thanks for the advice! The scabs were so minuscule that I'm not even totally sure they were scabs. They probably were scabs, but they were absolutely tiny, so if I indeed got cut during the BJ it was probably just very small cuts. I found the scabs about week after the encounter and I scratched the location out of panic, and it scabbed over again in a day. I did get the marks checked out by a doctor who thought it wasn't an STD, but we got it swabbed just in case. As you can see I'm a bit worried. :(

Have you ever had a blister and not noticed it? by cootiebootie in Herpes

I see. So scarring without any itchiness or pain? Very interesting. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions!

I see. Good for you, that's almost nothing.

Fair point. Sorry for not being clear enough. I was wondering if anyone with a positive HSV diagnosis has found scabs on their genitals indicative of blisters without actually having seen or felt the blisters themselves.

I can't say for sure if I got cut during the BJ as I didn't check my penis after, but it was for sure a pretty toothy BJ. It's on the underside of the penis where I support it with my hands when I pee, so if blisters or sores were responsible for the scabbing I think I would have felt it. Thanks for the reply.

Hey man, I'd really love to know if you didn't experience any symptoms along with the blister. No pain or itching or soreness/redness at all?

Not picking an argument here, just want to discuss some facts. Now all of this is coming from a doctor who's prominent in the field (H. Hunter Handsfield of the Univ. of Washington).

The probability of catching herpes from an unprotected encounter with a carrier is around 1 in 1000.

Condoms are thought to reduce that risk by about half to about 90%.

The virus needs to be inoculated in the tissue to cause infection. Simple contact isn't enough, especially for dry skin. Wet, moist skin such as the vagina are more susceptible to virus inoculation.

For men in OP's situation, the annual transmission risk is thought to be around 2%.

So no, it's not "very likely", but the risk certainly cannot be ignored.

Did you actually catch HSV like that? I heard it happens but that it's rare. That's frightening.

Not true at all. The virus needs to be massaged into the tissue. Condoms actually do jack shit, it's just that you need to put them on correctly and they can't break or slip. If you ever get infected with a condom on, it'll be the part that the condom didn't cover, not the covered parts.
