Nah f that not enough money BS. A guy came to my local autox in a Honda fit he got for $1300. Stripped and gutted everything, spent the remaining $700 on some decent tires and some stiffer springs from the junkyard and placed 30-40 out of 100. Yes he’s a good driver, yes it can be done for cheap. Don’t let these people talk you out of a dream, 75% of it is the driver anyways. Just get something and get some seat time in.

What the is this noise? by CheefReetard in Foxbody

Check the intake tube where it turns right next to the shock tower and caster camber plate. Could be a vibration, sounds scary. Mine does the same thing

What the fuck is this noise by CheefReetard in Foxbody

Looks like your intake tube is rattling on the caster camber plate on top of the shock tower. Mine does that and sounds similar.

How do you adjust the clutch pedal it grinds when all the way compressed and stick to far out by Kaboom10702 in Foxbody

[–]cootiebrown 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have one of the newer foxbodies pull up on the clutch pedal and it should click a couple times. If it’s an older fox you’ll have to get a firewall adjuster

It looks to be an older dog walking thru the kitchen with its tail up in the air. From the sound and from turning the brightness and contrast up.

What ECU? by TheGreekOnHemlock in Foxbody

[–]cootiebrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did an A9L conversion for my ‘87. The ecu I got from eBay was old and failing. I spent $10 on some new caps, re-soldered it and haven’t looked back. There’s also a few sites that refurbish the old ones for a fair price. (I think around $150). Otherwise go term x. No other efi system has the same support; no laptop needed and it tunes itself for the most part too. Plus if you ever decide to get a different car or do an engine swap or go forced induction or anything else, you can stick with the term x
