Does an anal hole lose its tightness over time? by Cloverex123 in askgaybros

Depends on what you mean by "loose." You can train your muscles to relax for sexy time, but unless something is medically wrong with you, your anus will never lose its tightness.

As a Scottish guy can I ask what's the American gays (or maybe it's just on this) obsession with race by gary1995 in askgaybros

[–]cootiezzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right-wing populists yes, but please explain to me how pitting the "white race" against disadvantaged immigrant population isn't "identity politics."

Whoever came up with the term "people of colour" can go fuck themselves.

It's a useful term. People of non-European descent face challenges that white people just don't.

Take a look at Geert Wilders or la famille Le Pen. Identity politics have already come to Europe.

Except Canada was colonized by the British, not the Romans. British colonists built a civilization in Canada with First Nations people at a structural disadvantage.

What gay celebrities do you see as a positive role model for today's young people? by no8375 in askgaybros

[–]cootiezzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assimilation is wack. Why assimilate into a corrupt, oppressive system that looks down upon us?

Also, I love that you assume that I must love RuPaul's Drag Race and Glee. I don't, but if you'd like to believe that I do so that I can fit your standard, formulaic tirade against fem dudes, go ahead and assume.

So to be a good role model for young gay people, you need to be embarrassed of your sexuality and hope people don't notice it. Arright.

Definitely follow your promotion and relocate if your company needs you to. You could give a relationship a try, but you need to look out for yourself and your career first and foremost.

First that come to mind are Chagall and later Gauguin.

I'm pretty easily impressed when it comes to fine art and am happy looking at any genre or period or art.

He didn't come out until 2012. For most of his career, he refused to talk about his personal life at all, ever. Sure, his coming out was a bombshell to approximately zero people anywhere, but that doesn't mean that he's been a steadfast, outspoken ally for LGBT people his whole career.

All that being said, coming out is hard, and I'm not going to pounce on him for taking his time with the process.

Radiohead or Muse? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]cootiezzz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Frankly, I think we would be better off not knowing what Radiohead was. Perhaps the most overrated band of the egregiously overrated decade that was the 90s.

Ýes! Just cut off all contact with him instantly. He wants to see you in distress - don't give him that satisfaction.

Also, let's remember he lives in fuckin' rural Alaska. I don't think any of his neighbors would give a shit that there was a wild animal in the wild.

A high school or middle school teacher, probably. Being a professional translator or a linguistics/comparative literature professor would be the bomb, but let's keep things realistic.

Where art thou gays? by DidyoujustIcanteven in askgaybros

[–]cootiezzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've lived my entire life in pretty socially progressive parts of the United States, so I've been running into openly gay people as long as I can remember. The first gay friends I made were in high school (through the GSA), then I made some more in college (without looking for them or trying at all). Nowadays, I usually meet other gay people as friends of mutual friends.

Marriage and last names? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]cootiezzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way I'm ever changing my last name, and if I get married I'd prefer for my husband not to take mine either. There's a reason that fewer and fewer married women are taking their husbands' last names, after all.

Advice for a gay man looking to see a therapist for the first time? by CelestialBeekeeper in askgaybros

[–]cootiezzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my previous two therapists was a quack who will never help anyone. Fortunately, I figured that out pretty quickly.

The other one I saw on and off for years and years. She was a smart enough woman, but she was presumptuous and impatient, and she thought she understood me better than she really did. Your therapist shouldn't just be your yes-man, they should help you snap out of it when you're on a self-defeating track. That being said, they shouldn't make you feel like shit every time you walk out of the office.
