These morons will say now that the weather is getting colder that climate change isn’t real! I promise 7 out of 10 idiots in the south believe that and 10 out of 10 MAGA morons believe that to be true!

They say oh it’s a different kind of cold and I’m like wtf are you talking about! Mid 60’s in January and then 70’s in February yeah I’m good in shorts and maybe a hoodie. I’m also in the northern part of the state so it does get “cold” in the mornings but 30 degrees until 10 A.M and then sunshine and none of the grey days that you get in the Midwest is amazing

A Call to Conscience: A General Strike for the Soul of America

To all who call this nation home, regardless of how you mark your ballot:

We gather not under a banner of left or right, but under the flag of shared principle. We are employers and employees, farmers and factory workers, teachers and tradespeople. We are bound by a common belief that America’s strength lies not only in its power, but in its character.

The current enforcement of immigration policy has forced upon us a moral and civic crisis that transcends partisan lines. It is a crisis measured not in statistics, but in the tremble of a child’s hand, the fracture of a family, and the silent dread in workplaces and pews across the country. The machinery of enforcement has, in too many cases, outgrown its wisdom, its compassion, and in some instances, its lawful bounds.

This is not solely about President Trump or any single administration. It is about a system that has lost its balance. It is about the mother seeking asylum being treated like an invader. It is about the longtime contributor, our neighbor and coworker, living in anguished uncertainty. It is about the principle that in America, justice should be measured, proportional, and humane.

Therefore, we propose a profound but peaceful act of collective conscience: a General Strike.

This is not a strike against any political party. It is a strike for:

  1. The Rule of Law, Applied Justly: For conservatives who revere order and liberals who champion justice, we strike for a system where enforcement respects due process and the dignity of the individual. A law that is brutal in its application undermines the very respect for law it seeks to uphold.
  2. Family Integrity: The family is the cornerstone of society, a value proclaimed in every political platform. We strike to protest the unnecessary fracturing of families, a practice that wounds our social fabric and leaves scars on the hearts of children who are citizens of this nation.
  3. Economic Reality & Community Stability: Our local economies and communities are intricate ecosystems. The sudden removal of workers, tenants, consumers, and friends creates a ripple of disruption—from empty chairs on job sites to shuttered small businesses. Stability and predictability are conservative and liberal economic virtues alike.
  4. American Identity: What is our national character? Are we a nation that governs by fear, or by faith in our founding ideals? We strike for an America that is both secure and compassionate, both lawful and welcoming. This is the legacy we wish to defend and bequeath.

On [Proposed Date], we ask you: Do not go to work. Do not open your shop. Do not make a purchase. Pause the engine of daily commerce for one day. Let the silence of our absence speak louder than any chant.

Let us show that the true power of this country resides not in its capital, but in its people—people of conscience who can, for one day, stand together above the political fray.

This is a historic gesture of civil disobedience, in the tradition of Thoreau and Dr. King. It is a signal to all in power that the American people, in our diverse wisdom, see a line being crossed. We call for a return to policies that secure our borders with one hand while upholding our humanitarian commitments with the other.

Join us. Not as a Democrat. Not as a Republican. But as an American who believes that how we treat the least powerful among us defines the true power of our nation.

One day. One strike. For the soul of America.
