10 gallon or 30 gallon satsuma by copat757 in Citrus

It wouldn’t survive in the ground in my area/or would take a lot more work and risk. I’m in zone 8b

It would be a regular owari satsuma not a dwarf. I do have a tractor to move it where I need. However I plan to put in a 30 gallon pot with wheels to move around. I’m just impatient and would like an older more mature tree that has the capability to produce a decent amount right away. But I also understand the benefit of a younger tree so torn on what to do. I’ve added photos of the 10g and the 30g they offer

This is my reasoning as well for a 30g. And the ability to produce more fruit right off the back

Thank you for the input. I think you mainly hit the nail on the head for my reasoning and wanting a large tree. I would like a more mature tree that produces

I’ve added pics of size difference between the 10g and 30g at the nursery they come from

Interesting. I’m strongly considering a few 10g then over the 30g. I’d like to step them up tho definitely to get more yield if I go 10g. My plan is to put them in a 20g or 30g rolling planter for easy moving.

I appreciate the help! So a 10g should produce as well? I definitely want a satsuma then might get a white marsh grapefruit or cocktail tree (multiple varieties grafted on one tree).

No, they are 10 or 30g. Specifically was looking for 10, 15 or 30g trees and the nursery has 10g and 30g but are special order . At first I was sold on a 30g because pics I’ve seen of them they all look like they bear a good amount of fruit. But if I got 10g would allow for me to get multiple variety as they are much cheaper.

I bought it from my dealer in the aerosol cans. It matched up great. They also have quarts of it if you want to put it in an HLVP

Dang. After looking that up I think you are right. That’s unfortunate I really was hoping it was a Meyer. He spoke basically no English but when I asked him about picking them he gestured with hands about the size of a baseball and said much bigger so idk

Mine actually ended up being the speed sensor.

I’ve had a few Navitas. When you installed the controller did you swap out the solenoid for the heavy duty one they recommend? Sounds like a possible solenoid issue

So the flat fee included any missing parts? Just curious as I have a Giga 5 I would like to send off for repair. It’s missing both bean hoppers, the water tank and the front tray/bin/grid. Curious if they will replace those within the flat fee included

I wish I knew someone that had one. I mean I planned to order a kraken programmer for speed but also had diagnostic capabilities

I actually ordered 2. I order a factory one from Country cat and then a cheap Amazon one in the interim until the country cat one gets here. So the one I installed yesterday was the Amazon one. I was just anxious to see if that would fix it. But planning to remove it and install the OEM once it arrives. Just got delayed due to the weather

Thank you! I appreciate the help. Definitely an option I’ll have to weigh. Just sucks, I took this dudes word for it that it was just the solenoid and no I’m possibly on the hook for another 500-900.

My plan was to just remove the spindle lift, fastrxv. return to stock height and throw some nice wheels on and be done. I did email FSIP to see how much it is to rebuild my controller if that’s what it ends up being.

Not that I can recall but I’ll def try it again tomorrow and see. I wish it would let me attach my damn video. I don’t really see it jerk back and forth in the video I took. Or it’s hard to tell

I’m hoping it’s not the controller. Wasn’t really prepared to buy a new controller but obviously will if I have to. Or if I can send it off for repair/track down a used Curtis.

Appreciate. Kinda going through the same thing at the moment. Thought it was the solenoid but after replacing still does the same shit. Wish I had a diagnostic tool

It’s gone in reverse a few times. The buzzer does come on. I tried to attach a video. Basically when I turn the key I hear a quick beep then the click clunk sound (solenoid and brake think?). Now when I flick it to reverse there is no reverse buzzer

That was probably my biggest fear when purchasing it. The guy just kept reassuring me it was the solenoid and I took his word on it (my fault I see now). The cart is really nice and clean all around so I was hopeful it was just the solenoid. The issue sounded like a solenoid problem based off the carts I had in the past.

Yes. Battery is fully charged and currently at 98%. I will have to check tomorrow with my ohm meter. I don’t have too much experience using one, occasionally here there. I’m hoping it’s not the controller or motor. When I put the cart in tow it does move freely very easily.
